What to expect
Discover the Trenitalia Pass, designed for travelers visiting Italy! Choose between 3, 4, 7, or 10 journeys for Adult, Senior, or Youth travelers. Travel seamlessly across Italy on a variety of trains, including Frecce, Intercity, and Eurocity Italy-Switzerland. Book your first journey within 11 months of purchase. Depending on your Pass type, enjoy 3 journeys in 7 days, 4 journeys in 7 days, 7 journeys in 15 days, or 10 journeys in 30 days. You can activate your pass by booking your first journey and making a seat reservation. The validity of the pass starts from the date of your first journey. Each booking is counted as one trip, except Frecce+Freccialink, which is considered one trip. Issued tickets can be changed as many times as you want depending on the pass type you purchase. If you're quick, you can even book a trip just 10 minutes before the train departs!

Booking guidelines
- The name, country of residence, and passport numbers entered when booking must be an exact match to the passports used when boarding
- All passengers must have their passports ready prior to boarding
Pass eligibility
- This offer is not available for Italian passport holders
- Important: Infants and children must be included in the passenger headcount
- Free for children aged 0-3 as long as they will not occupy separate seats
- Up to 2 children aged 4–12 can travel for free when accompanied by an adult with an Adult pass. For example, when 2 adults are travelling, they can take 4 children with them
- If more than 2 children are travelling with 1 adult, a separate Youth Pass must be purchased for each additional child

- This is a public transportation service, seating will be on a first come first serve basis
- The Trenitalia Pass can be used on Frecce high-speed trains (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca) Frecce + Freccialink, Intercity/Intercity Night and Eurocity Italy-Switzerland on Italian domestic routes
- Regional and EuroNight trains are not included in Trenitalia Pass

Bought the Trenitalia pass on Klook and got my e-ticket instantly. Activation was super easy and the QR code worked at every station from Rome to Venice. Trains were punctual, clean, and comfortable. Having unlimited travel saved me so much vs buying single tickets and let me do spontaneous day trips. Klook’s customer support was also responsive when I had a question. Best way to explore Italy by train!
The Trenitalia Pass was simple to use and it’s suitable for first time tourist to use. However, it’s a little bit expensive, but for the convenience sake. Do note that you will need to plan your route and journey in advance so that you can reserve your seats.
Easy to use and make changes to your reservation. If you ever encounter a train strike, just go to the ticket counter with the e-ticket and they will get you on the next train without extra charge.
Well worth the pass price and ease of mind knowing we had tickets and didn’t have to deal with the kiosks. Rome to Venice, Venice to Bologna, Bologna to Florence, and Florence to Rome. HIGHLY suggest to download the Trenitalia app. Booking the seating tickets with ease and guides/ instructions were helpful.
You can book train times online and use a QR code to enter the gate. You can book 3 journeys. If you are only going to Rome, Florence, and Milan, you may not need to buy a pass.
