Yizhong Street tours

My husband, my mum, and I attended this tour together. Our tour guide was Shine. My husband and I are long-time residents of Taichung and had never heard of the history of Nantun District before, which is what made us interested in this tour. Shine did an amazing job explaining about and showing us the little tidbits of architectural and cultural history that still remain in the area. Our favorite part was comparing old photos to the exisitng streets to see what’s changed and what’s still there today, and also the blacksmith’s forge. We’ll definitely be coming back to buy some gardening tools! I personally also really loved the jute tea. We thought the desserts from 林金生香 WISH LIN 百年糕餅店 were beautiful and bought some cakes from them after the tour to enjoy later with tea.

Loved this half day trip of Taichung. All the places we went are really worth watching. Highly recommend anyone to take this trip. Our guide Lynn speaks very good english and provides details of every site thouroughly. The day we visited Gaomei wetlands, the wind was extrememly strong and it made our experience wonderful, it was much more than just a walk. I went on this trip with my mother and both of us highly enjoyed this trip.

Vaness was my tour guide and we did so much on this 3 day trip. The nature sights looked unreal. I also ate very well in this tour and the hotels that were booked were in very convenient locations. I highly recommend this tour to see Taiwan! One of the best memories on this trip was being lucky enough to see the sunrise at Alishan with the sea of clouds and mountains in the horizon. We had a great experience during this tour, thank you to our guide, “8166 Aga😁”. The schedule and full itinerary was followed completely. even though we don’t understand chinese and he doesn’t understand english, he made sure we are taken cared of and are not left behind during the whole activity. the travel time was a bit tiring but the experience was so worth it. very memorable trip!

It is mainly a guide for foreign friends so it is in English. There are some interactive games designed for the introduction of scenic spots which are quite fun👍

The tour guide is very attentive and answers all questions. It is great to be able to adjust the itinerary according to the physical condition of the group members. It’s because our group strength is too weak and we talk too much🤣

Definitely worth your money to be comfortablely transported to these local sights. Meeting up at Starbucks was easy, guide wore a bright orange vest to easily identify her. Guide can speak Chinese, English, and Korean quite well. All the talking is done on the bus (thank you Lynn!) and you are given time to explore the sites at your own pace. Watch the time, don’t be late getting back on the bus! Guide lets you know all the interesting facts about each location and offers advice on what to buy. Being dropped off at the night market is a good idea, it’s far from the city centre.

booking this tour was the best decision i made on my trip to Taiwan. I was travelling solo, and this small group tour covered all my needs, and connected me with great travel companions. The tour is the perfect length to explore Fenqihu, Alishan and Sun Moon Lake. These are gorgeous, must see spots, and all the details were taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy the experience. Our guide Vanness is extremely thoughtful and took exceptional care of us. He is a great story teller and shared the history and context of each new location we visited. He also made adjustments on the fly to take our interests into consideration, such as visiting a local tea farm, and planning the trip just right to avoid crowds and long lines. Vanness made sure we had the best time, and he was very patient and supportive of my effots to practice Mandarin. Five stars, fantastic experience, well worth the money. Highly recommend!
