Hi, I'm Kwai Tsing 🐼. This time I bought a 3-day Pass to visit Mojiko and Yufuin. The purchase was very simple and convenient, but paying for and reserving the Yufuin no Mori train was more difficult. In contrast, exchanging for reserved seats on the Sonic at the Green Window was easier. Using it for two trips should make it worth the cost. 🫰🫰

It was a bit rough encountering heavy rain throughout the trip, and although the boating was canceled, we still managed to complete the entire journey and see all the sights. Our guide, Kevin, was amazing, providing explanations in both Chinese and English, and meticulously planning everything. Our group had over 40 people, and there was a small hiccup when two members went off to take photos a few minutes before we were supposed to board the bus, and we couldn't find them. Due to the rain, we were already behind schedule and couldn't be late for the paid mini-train ride. Kevin had no choice but to tell the driver to leave on time without waiting for the two individuals. I think this was reasonable because it wouldn't be fair for two people to cause all of us who had paid for the tour to miss the mini-train. Haha. 😅

When traveling to Japan, transportation costs are often the most expensive. This JR Pass is incredibly useful! The pass covers a very wide area, including major and famous tourist destinations such as Kokura, Space World, Mojiko, Beppu, Oita, and Yufuin.

This time, I purchased the JR PASS North Kyushu 5-day pass and completed a scenic train journey. On the first day, I rode the Yufuin no Mori; on the second, Aso Boy; on the third, the Dual Star 4047; and on the fourth, the A-TRAIN. Taking the rapid trains and Shinkansen was excellent value for money. Although it rained every day, which was a minor drawback, it was still a very relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Buying tickets on-site and using them immediately was even cheaper than buying them at the counter. The panoramic view from the tower was absolutely beautiful. It's a shame I couldn't stay to see the night view. If you want to see the night view in Fukuoka, don't arrive too early.

Although the itinerary seemed tight, it was a fulfilling and satisfying tour because we could quickly and efficiently see all the key sights in one day, then comfortably travel by bus again!
Meeting & Departure: We met our guide in front of the Lawson convenience store in the morning and departed smoothly. The easy-to-find location made for a great start.
Tour Course: The tour proceeded in the order of Dazaifu ➡️ Yufuin (lunch) ➡️ Beppu's Kamado Jigoku.
Honest Review: At first, I was worried the schedule might be a bit tight, but it wasn't at all once we actually went! We only saw the highlights at each attraction and then rested comfortably on the bus while traveling, making it a truly relaxing day trip.
Guide Compliment: Most importantly, meeting Guide Joo Young-chan was an excellent choice. He provided so many informative and entertaining explanations throughout the journey, keeping us engaged, and his meticulous care significantly elevated the quality of the tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to comfortably complete the essential Fukuoka course in just one day!
