Things to do in Miyakojima Island

Highly recommend Instructor Yusho! We had an unforgettable day today! Although we saw super cute clownfish in the morning, we didn't see any sea turtles. We didn't want to push it, thinking the instructor might be too tired, but to our surprise, after taking all the other guests out at 5 PM, Yusho-san was still willing to specially take us into the sea to look for sea turtles! The moment we saw the sea turtles, we were incredibly happy, and the photos the instructor took are unbelievably beautiful 😭😭 (seriously!). The instructor is professional, thoughtful, and dedicated. We will definitely look for him again next time we come to Miyakojima! Friends from Taiwan, you can't go wrong with Instructor Yusho! Yusho-san, thank you for the best experience! The clownfish in the morning were cute, but what touched us most was your hospitality. Even though you must have been tired after guiding so many guests until 5 PM, you still went out of your way to take us to the sea to look for sea turtles. Thanks to you, we were able to see the sea turtles we had longed for, and you took so many amazing photos for us; we are truly happy 😭😭. If you're coming to Miyakojima, I wholeheartedly recommend Yusho-san! We will definitely come back to see you again! Highly recommend Instructor Yusho! We had an unforgettable day. Although we saw cute clownfish in the morning, we missed the turtles. We didn't want to push it because we knew Yusho had been busy all day, but he incredibly offered to take us out again at 5 PM just to find them! Seeing the turtles was a dream come true, and the photos he took are absolutely stunning😭😭. Yusho is professional, dedicated, and so kind. If you’re visiting Miyakojima, he is the best! Can’t wait to come back!

We're so glad we made wonderful memories in Miyakojima! We ended up booking last minute for a same-day tour. It was great fun exploring with our tour guide, Blonde Taichi, seeing over four hermit crabs and coconut crabs, and discovering various insects. The kids really enjoyed it. Thank you, Blonde Taichi, for kindly and entertainingly guiding us, even to the beautiful stars! ♡

Writing - I had a truly unforgettable snorkeling experience in Miyakojima! 🐢💙 I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle swimming, and I am so grateful that they captured it nicely on video. The drone shots in particular were simply breathtaking! 😍 I was amazed at how stunning the view from above the ocean could be. It was no problem at all doing this with my 5-year-old and 10-year-old children. Thanks to Kosei-san's guidance and attentive service, we had an even more wonderful time. I think I will be able to cherish the beautiful waters of Miyakojima and these special moments for a long time to come. Top-notch snorkeling and top-notch videos! I'm leaving Miyakojima with wonderful memories. 👍🌊

The view is stunning. Our tutor “Momoka” has done a great job to teach us how to use the paddle and brought us lots of joy and fun during the tour.

This impromptu trip brought us so many touching moments! Our tour guide Lean is a lively and enthusiastic Australian woman. In just over an hour, she led us to find 6 coconut crabs (including Frank!), countless hermit crabs, as well as various insects such as stick insects, scarab beetles, and moths. She also introduced us to some of the local plants. If we didn't have a professional guide leading the way through this mysterious and pristine secret trail, we would never have dared to come on our own. But please don't be afraid! When you reach the stargazing platform at the very end, you are greeted by a sky full of stars that you can never see in the city—it is truly breathtaking and moving 🥹 Not only does Lean help take amazing photos, but she also shares her favorite hidden spots, filling the entire journey with laughter ☺️ Highly recommended!

After failing to find the turtles and Nemo on our own, we quickly searched and booked this tour. It was the top wish for this trip, as my child really wanted to see sea turtles and Nemo. The guide spoke English, so communication was easy while snorkeling. Since both I and my child are very timid, I was worried from the start, but I appreciated that safety was their top priority. We were grouped with a Japanese family and a solo male traveler, and our companions were very kind and great. And finally, we saw Nemo and sea turtles! We got super lucky 😍 We created wonderful memories as a family of three, and we are so grateful to our leader, Ken, for taking such good care of us! Thank you so much Ken! 😄😄

We had wonderful Ten for our snorkeling session. He was friendly, patient and a real talented photographer too. We have the best photos from our trip with him. Please request Ten if you value the memories from your trip. He made sure we are all safe, happy and well looked after at all times. It's not easy coordinating photos with a family but he made it effortless. If I'm ever coming back to Miyakojima, I'll be sure to book with him again. He also recommended us some very very good places to eat and drink. All bangers with locals and visitors alike. Thank you a million times, Ten. You made this trip super memorable for us. If you ever doubt the sincerity of this review, just look at the photos and decide for yourselves.
