Things to do in Miyakojima Island

We encountered rare coconut crabs, hermit crabs, longhorn beetles, stick insects, and large spiders. It's a shame the weather wasn't good today, but we'll come back next time! I'll still choose them; the tour guide was very enthusiastic, and the activities were so much fun. It was a worthwhile trip! John John

I had really high expectations for the Starlight Tour, and it exceeded them! The pickup and drop-off service was convenient because I didn't have to drive on dark roads. 😁 I thought we wouldn't see any coconut crabs, but Guide TEN meticulously searched deep into the forest and found two for us. Guide TEN was humorous and explained everything so well that everyone in our group said they'd want him for all their activities, from snorkeling to jungle tours, if we ever came back! 🤭 This kind of tour really depends on the guide, so I hope others get to meet Guide TEN too. 😀

This snorkeling experience was a truly safe and wonderful memory for our family of three. Our 5-year-old daughter was able to relax and enjoy exploring the ocean with confidence, creating a precious moment connecting with nature. We sincerely appreciate the instructor’s professional and thoughtful guidance. Thanks to the instructor, we safely discovered the beautiful sea turtles and colorful fish. We are also very grateful for the instructor’s hard work in capturing these precious moments underwater. The photos are truly priceless, and we absolutely love the video memories that were created for our family. When our daughter grows a little older, we would love to come back again and extend the experience to explore more of the beautiful ocean around Miyako Island.

Our tour guide this time, Mami, was incredibly friendly and communicated perfectly in English. We were also very lucky to encounter two sea turtles, and the water visibility was excellent. Mami's photography equipment and skills were outstanding, which allowed for these perfect photos.

We saw five sea turtles, clownfish, and many other types of fish. I highly recommend this activity in Miyakojima.

This was a very worthwhile activity! It was so lucky to see sea turtles swimming up close. 😍 Thank you, Ten, for the professional explanations and excellent photography skills. If you don't have much snorkeling experience, I highly recommend Ten. Since your back will be exposed to the sun for most of the snorkeling time, don't forget to apply sunscreen to your entire back. I recommend wearing a rash guard to protect yourself from the sun and also help protect the ocean.

Excellent! This is my second time visiting Miyakojima, and each time, Yaebishi is a must-do. They are very welcoming to foreigners and provide meticulous care. We saw so many fish! All in all, it's an essential experience.

Pros: Loved our tour of the Pumpkin Cave. Jumping off the pumpkin into the water fun! Kayaking was nice. Cons: We could not take our camera and had to rely on the photos they took for us. Unfortunately their pictures aren't super great, some turned out ok, but most were grainy. It was crowded. Group after group went into the pumpkin cave.
