Yulong Snow Mountain tours

The tour was very well arranged, with Tom coordinating everything through WeChat. The driver picked us up early at 6.30am to avoid the crowds. First, we went to pick up the oxygen bottles before proceeding to the first location, blue moon valley, reaching at approximately 7.15-7.30am. En route, we saw huge crowds queuing for tickets. Once we reached blue moon valley, the driver did not follow us in but gave us very detailed instructions on what to do. We also paid for the mini shuttles to bring us around (~40 yuan). After that, we were supposed to meet the driver at the tourist centre but as the rest of my group have not returned, my guide instructed me to head up to the mountain first. Again, he sent specific instructions and the QR code which will be used for the cable car rides and the Lijiang impression performance. Overall, the itinerary was well-planned and there were sufficient time for us to explore the places on our own and the whole process was seamless.

We planned about 30% of our Yunnan trip on our own and booked this tour for the rest of our journey from Dali to Lijiang and Shangri-La. Our tour advisor, Sally, was incredibly patient, and responsive. She answered all of our questions before the trip, and two days before departure we were added to a WeChat group with Sally and our driver, which made communication very easy throughout the trip. A special thank you to our driver, Mr. He Guo Zheng, who truly made our journey even more enjoyable. He was always punctual and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. His kindness and attentiveness made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The scenery throughout the trip was absolutely breathtaking. Every destination had something unique to offer, from majestic mountains and peaceful lakes to charming old towns.

This was my first trip to Mainland China and I’m happy I have chosen Yunnan Province. I recommend this package for solo travellers. Though the guides do not speak English, they tried their best to communicate with me since I do not speak and understand Chinese. It was just sad that I was not able to upgrade the cable car ride despite requesting in advance. Also, they do not give the hotel names in advance. But in general, everything went fine.

The driver was very kind and helpful. She gave great descriptions of where to go, despite the language barrier for myself and others in the group. Communication was clear via wechat which meant we were on time to see all attractions on the itinerary. She provided warm jackets so we were comfortable exploring in the mountains. Really enjoyed this tour and would recommend for anyone who wants to see Yulong Mountain!

Had a really smooth and well-coordinated trip 👏 Highly Recommended! From the start, 小舟 managed everything efficiently—clear itinerary details and even arranged hotel pickup for a small additional fee (60元), which made things more convenient. The day before the trip, the driver/guide 携手 followed up with very clear instructions. Pickup was punctual at 5:35am. We were especially impressed that the team secured early tickets to ascend Yulong Snow Mountain by 7:30am (up to 4,506m). We descended by 8:30am—the higher climb to 4,680m was closed due to heavy snow the day before, making conditions slippery and unsafe. Next stop was Blue Moon Valley—transfer was seamless, we arrived around 9:20am, spending about an hour. After that, lunch was provided (simple pork hotpot with rice and vegetables). It was decent, though there’s definitely room for improvement. We then headed to the Impression Lijiang at 1:30pm, which wrapped up the experience nicely before returning to the hotel around 3:30pm.

Really recommended for our first time to China, agent sally so helpful, we have some changes, the arrangements were settled perfectly, accomodation okay and transport also good, tour guide also nice and friendly

This guided tour was the highlight of our family (two adults, one old and one child) during the five-day stay in Lijiang during the Chinese New Year. We were deeply impressed by the warm reception, patient explanation and perfect control of transportation along the way. We avoided the crowds during the Spring Festival and did not spend a lot of time on the way to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. He answered all questions along the way, and his rich knowledge of Lijiang's history and culture gave us a deeper understanding of the local area. Because the tickets for the large cableway were sold out, we went to the small cableway Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley, and watched the open-air theater performance of Impression Lijiang, of course, with a partial refund. It turned out that this choice was correct. If there were elderly people and children in the team, the small cableway would be a better choice. After the entire guided tour, Wang also expressed his willingness to continue to accompany us to other attractions, but because the elderly and children were very tired, we declined his kindness. The scenery of Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley is great, but there are too many people during the Spring Festival, so it is recommended to travel during off-peak hours. Thank you for your company!
