Passeios por Yulong Snow Mountain

The tour was very well arranged, with Tom coordinating everything through WeChat. The driver picked us up early at 6.30am to avoid the crowds. First, we went to pick up the oxygen bottles before proceeding to the first location, Blue Moon Valley, reaching at approximately 7.15-7.30am. En route, we saw huge crowds queuing for tickets. Once we reached Blue Moon Valley, the driver did not follow us in but gave us very detailed instructions on what to do. We also paid for the mini shuttles to bring us around (approximately 40 yuan). After that, we were supposed to meet the driver at the tourist center, but as the rest of my group had not returned, my guide instructed me to head up to the mountain first. Again, he sent specific instructions and the QR code which would be used for the cable car rides and the Lijiang Impression performance. Overall, the itinerary was well-planned and there was sufficient time for us to explore the places on our own, and the whole process was seamless.

We planned about 30% of our Yunnan trip on our own and booked this tour for the rest of our journey from Dali to Lijiang and Shangri-La. Our tour advisor, Sally, was incredibly patient, and responsive. She answered all of our questions before the trip, and two days before departure we were added to a WeChat group with Sally and our driver, which made communication very easy throughout the trip. A special thank you to our driver, Mr. He Guo Zheng, who truly made our journey even more enjoyable. He was always punctual and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. His kindness and attentiveness made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The scenery throughout the trip was absolutely breathtaking. Every destination had something unique to offer, from majestic mountains and peaceful lakes to charming old towns.

This was my first trip to Mainland China and I’m happy I have chosen Yunnan Province. I recommend this package for solo travellers. Though the guides do not speak English, they tried their best to communicate with me since I do not speak and understand Chinese. It was just sad that I was not able to upgrade the cable car ride despite requesting in advance. Also, they do not give the hotel names in advance. But in general, everything went fine.

The driver was very kind and helpful. She gave great descriptions of where to go, despite the language barrier for myself and others in the group. Communication was clear via wechat which meant we were on time to see all attractions on the itinerary. She provided warm jackets so we were comfortable exploring in the mountains. Really enjoyed this tour and would recommend for anyone who wants to see Yulong Mountain!

Had a really smooth and well-coordinated trip 👏 Highly Recommended! From the start, 小舟 managed everything efficiently—clear itinerary details and even arranged hotel pickup for a small additional fee (60元), which made things more convenient. The day before the trip, the driver/guide 携手 followed up with very clear instructions. Pickup was punctual at 5:35am. We were especially impressed that the team secured early tickets to ascend Yulong Snow Mountain by 7:30am (up to 4,506m). We descended by 8:30am—the higher climb to 4,680m was closed due to heavy snow the day before, making conditions slippery and unsafe. Next stop was Blue Moon Valley—transfer was seamless, we arrived around 9:20am, spending about an hour. After that, lunch was provided (simple pork hotpot with rice and vegetables). It was decent, though there’s definitely room for improvement. We then headed to the Impression Lijiang at 1:30pm, which wrapped up the experience nicely before returning to the hotel around 3:30pm.

Highly recommended for our first trip to China. Our agent, Sally, was incredibly helpful. We had some changes, but the arrangements were handled perfectly. Accommodation was good, and transport was also excellent. The tour guide was also very nice and friendly.

This tour was the highlight of our family's (two adults, one senior, one child) five-day stay in Lijiang during the Chinese New Year. Tour guide Wang's enthusiastic reception, patient explanations, and perfect control of transportation left a deep impression on us. We successfully avoided the Spring Festival crowds and didn't spend a lot of time on the road to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Along the way, he answered all our questions, and his rich knowledge of Lijiang's history and culture gave us a deeper understanding of the local area. Because the tickets for the large cableway were sold out, we went to the Spruce Meadow (Yunshanping) and Blue Moon Valley via the small cableway and watched the Impression Lijiang outdoor theater performance, and of course, received a partial refund. It proved to be the right choice; if there are seniors and children in the group, the small cableway is actually a better option. After the entire tour, guide Wang also offered to continue accompanying us to other attractions, but because the seniors and children were very tired, we politely declined his kind offer. The scenery at both Spruce Meadow and Blue Moon Valley was fantastic, but there were too many people during the Spring Festival, so it's recommended to travel during off-peak times.
