We planned about 30% of our Yunnan trip on our own and booked this tour for the rest of our journey from Dali to Lijiang and Shangri-La. Our tour advisor, Sally, was incredibly patient, and responsive. She answered all of our questions before the trip, and two days before departure we were added to a WeChat group with Sally and our driver, which made communication very easy throughout the trip. A special thank you to our driver, Mr. He Guo Zheng, who truly made our journey even more enjoyable. He was always punctual and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. His kindness and attentiveness made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The scenery throughout the trip was absolutely breathtaking. Every destination had something unique to offer, from majestic mountains and peaceful lakes to charming old towns.

We are family with 1 teenager and 1 primary 5 who enjoyed the trip very much. All the programs were well planned, the itenaries were not too packed and suited our free and easy pace. We have seen beautiful old towns in Dali, Li Jiang and Shangrila. Appreciated the majestic nature of mountain,lake, gorge, prairies etc. Enjoyed bicycle ride, boat ride, horse ride,performance. Especially thank to our great driver Mr 段国繁. He was patient, polite and drove with extreme care. We were well taken care of by him throughout the entire journey.The hotels were comfortable and clean. Tour Guide: When planning our trip, I inquired with several travel agencies specifically asking for a female guide. Klook recommended Sister Mei to us, saying that all clients she had hosted found her exceptionally good. So, after comparing several options, we embarked on a five-day, four-night journey with our driver, Sister Mei. Unexpectedly, Sister Mei turned out to be a fantastic guide – patient, meticulous, conscientious, and responsible. She was attentive to everyone's feelings and quietly looked after us without us having to say much. Sister Mei thoughtfully prepared fruits, snacks, and local delicacies for us, and never rushed us. She cared about our comfort, and even on difficult roads, she demonstrated excellent driving skills. I knew choosing a female driver and female guide wouldn't be a mistake!

Our trip to Shangri-La, Daocheng Yading, and Lugu Lake has concluded. We are very grateful for the thoughtful arrangements and daily warm reminders from all the travel consultants; the hotels arranged were also perfect. Our trip to Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La was made exceptionally perfect thanks to Brother Cheng's companionship! Not only is he a steady driver with reasonable route planning, but he's also a "walking map" and a "storyteller extraordinaire." Along the way, he meticulously explained the historical allusions of each scenic spot and even proactively helped us find beautiful, less crowded photo spots. The car was always clean and cool, equipped with mineral water, small snacks, fruit, oxygen tanks, and raincoats – everything we could possibly need. The itinerary was well-paced, never rushing us. Since it was inconvenient to order takeout at our guesthouse, Brother Cheng even offered to run errands for us. Such a sincere and responsible attitude is truly rare in today's tourism market! This Yunnan trip included Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, and Meili. The private customized tour was very hassle-free; I just told them the destinations I wanted to visit, and they planned the itinerary for me, including accommodation and scenic routes. They also helped adjust the itinerary as needed for some specific places I wanted to see. All the accommodations throughout the trip were very satisfactory, clean, comfortable, and I got to experience places like ranches and Songtsam hotels. During the trip, Master Zhang was very thoughtful, helping us with luggage, guiding us, and providing basic introductions before entering attractions. He is a local, so he would chat with us about local culture when we had questions on the road. He even helped us find a place to photograph seasonal azaleas along the way. He provided bottled water and oxygen daily, and drove very steadily. There were many mountain roads in the latter half of the Yunnan trip, but even as someone prone to motion sickness, I managed well this time and hardly felt carsick. Overall, I am very satisfied with this trip, and for my next long-distance journey, I will continue to choose a similar tour and look for this driver again.
