Things to do in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Today, we toured Panda Valley, Dujiangyan, and the Blue Tears of Nanqiao with tour guide Xiaoxiong, and it was an excellent experience! Xiaoxiong explained everything clearly, was very knowledgeable, and extremely enthusiastic and attentive. The itinerary was arranged smoothly, and he took great care of everyone in the group. In particular, his explanations of Dujiangyan's history and the night view of Nanqiao added great depth to the entire trip. Thank you, Xiaoxiong, for giving us such a pleasant and fulfilling day. Our tour guide was very thoughtful. Our accommodation was a bit far, outside the Third Ring Road, so they arranged for a driver to take us to the meeting point in the morning. My husband and I, our three-year-old child, and our elderly parents went together, and all the attractions were free for the child. However, I must mention that this itinerary involves a lot of walking, so it can be quite strenuous if you're not physically fit. Qingcheng Mountain in the morning was absolutely beautiful, truly living up to its reputation as the most serene mountain under heaven. We kept walking and walking, and eventually, the elderly members of our group stopped to rest near the summit, while we continued to the very top. After lunch, we proceeded to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. This incredibly magnificent project was very enlightening, and we learned about the deeds of General Li Bing of the Qin Dynasty, which filled us with immense admiration for him. There was never a dull moment throughout the entire trip. If you're in good physical condition, I highly, highly recommend it!

Quick and easy to get in with your passport. The place itself is fantastic. We saw so many pandas. Go early to see them awake and walk further into the park to get away from crowds. Plenty of pandas to see beside the famous one!

We took this summer tour route in early June. Traveling with a small group of 2-8 people was incredibly comfortable, no need to cram onto a big bus. In early summer, Jiuzhaigou's forests were lush, and the lake waters were clear and vibrant. The Ruoergai Grassland was already verdant, and Flower Lake's aquatic plants were abundant, making for very natural photos. Each person also received an oxygen bottle. We stopped for photos at all the beautiful spots along the way, and the pace of the trip wasn't rushed. We had a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable time. The scenery on this route in the summer is truly stunning.
