Chengdu Dujiangyan & Panda Valley Day Experience

It was a very enjoyable full-day trip. Time allocated was sufficient and driver/tour guide 小熊 was accommodating and took his time to clearly explain Du Jiang Yan irrigation system to us. Highly recommended.

Went for the tour with no expectation, however the itinerary was great with the amazing scenery from the high tower, followed by the blue tears for the river. My driver/guide was knowledgable, respectfully and courteous. Met some nice people on the same tour; overall good experience!

We had an excellent experience with our tour guide, Zhang, during our visit to Panda Valley and Dujiangyan Irrigation System in Chengdu. Zhang was incredibly patient and attentive, especially with our elderly parents. He made sure they were comfortable throughout the journey, never rushing us and always adjusting the pace to suit everyone. That level of care really made a big difference to our trip. He was also very knowledgeable and informative, sharing interesting facts and stories about each location in a way that was easy to understand and engaging. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. What we appreciated most was that Zhang gave us plenty of time at each stop to explore and take photos without feeling hurried. It made the whole experience much more relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, Zhang is a fantastic guide—professional, kind, and thoughtful. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Chengdu, especially if you’re traveling with family.

The day trip was fun and itinerary duration was pretty well spread. Started off with Panda Valley (熊猫谷) which was very beautiful and you could see the pandas within close proximity. Then we went for lunch and headed off to the selfie panda (打卡点) which was honestly nothing very special, just for photo taking. Dujiangyan Scenic Area was beautiful. Quite a bit of climbing stairs and all but it was a really a nice experience to see how people in acient days, without morden day technology were able to build such an intricate and powerful irrigation system with stones and bamboo. The guide (Ouyang) was very patient and explained everything to us carefully. He was also an excellent photographer throughout the trip! All of us had an amazing day trip with his guidance!

I booked the Chengdu Dujiangyan & Panda Valley small group tour and had a really good experience. Our guide, Xiong (熊导), was both the driver and the tour guide, which made everything very smooth and convenient. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and explained things clearly. There were only two small groups that day, so it didn’t feel crowded at all and the experience was more relaxed and personal. Overall, everything was well organized and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Did a private tour with our amazing guide Kevin. He was very knowledgeable and catered to our specific needs and adjusted the itinerary according to the crowds at the various destinations to allow us to have an enjoyable experience despite it being a peak holiday period in China. The private car transportation to and from the hotel was comfortable with water provided. While there is alot of walking during the tour it did enable us to see alot within the day. Definitely recommend this tour.

Saw the pandas up close and the park wasn't overly crowded. Our driver/guide showed us around Dujiangyan, sharing the history of the place. He was patient and flexible throughout the trip. we enjoyed the experience although there was quite a bit of walking.

booked a small group join in tour - chinese means it is a driver - guide u on the road - have to walk ourselves most of the time. driver pick us up at 8am. on ur hotel, then sit in a sedan (aion brand) car for the whole trip just the 3 of us and bring us to the destination as according to the itinerary. not inclusion in the package is the admission ticket to the pagoda which is ard 40- 50rmb per adult. then the buggy ride from the start to the end of dujiangyan if nt have to walk abt 20-30 walk. recommend u to take buggy ride which u need to pay. not sure how much cos i walk and regret. duno much abt of dujiangyan history cos was told to meet the driver after done. walking - yes alot! walk here walk there, climbing stairs and down the stairs too. pagoda is just to get a good view of the scenery. but was foggy during the noon time. lunch they will bring u somewhere if u want their recommendation. pay on ur own for lunch. ard 413rmb with fish and veggies n rice.

Our tour guide Xiao Peng has been amazing from the start to the end of tour. He shared alot of insights throughout and is very knowledgable on the history and background story of the sites that we had visited. Highly recommended to everyone to book the tour we did 😃

Everything is communicated easily via WeChat. The night before, our guide, Mr Chen informed our pick up time. The time is much earlier as he recommended us to go early in order to see the active pandas. Mr Chen is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in sharing with us the China history and culture. everything is well arranged and smooth! we had a great time!
