Woohee was our tour guide and she was absolutely lovely and knowledgeable. Thanks to the tour we were able to get inside the distillery. Usually in order to secure such tickets, you need to enter a lottery two months in advance, meaning there's no guarantee. The museum is also very nice to visit, even if you are not an art fan.

Momo & Sayaka were our guides for the day. They were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable of sake and it's process. My husband and I learned so much through the museum tour and especially through the tasting/pairing portion. That was our favorite part of the experience! It was a wonderful experience! After learning almost all the knowledge about the factory, I was able to feel the passion of the Yamazaki craftsmen with both my tongue and my heart. Our guide, Sachiko, was very kind and intelligent, and the Yamazaki staff also shared a lot of knowledge with us. Thank you so much on such a hot day. I will definitely participate again if I have the opportunity!

If you are a whiskey fan 10/10 recommend!! Our tour guild was absolutely incredible!! She was so knowledgeable and friendly, she absolutely made the experience more memorable. Meeting at the train station was easy. The distillery, the tastings, and being able to purchase their whiskey long with other items….. Absolutely amazing! A true highlight of my trip to Japan.

The tour guide is very attentive. Most office workers cannot cooperate with the lottery at all, so they just pay the fee to participate in this. The overall itinerary is to go to the art gallery first, and then go to the whiskey factory. This itinerary includes a whiskey tasting course, and you can also buy wine limited to the distillery after the class👍👍

The Japanese tour guide was very attentive and could speak fluent English and explained things clearly. I had a great experience at both the Yamazaki Brewery and the art museum.

The Kyoto Sake Tasting and Food pairing was one of the highlights of our trip! We learned so much about all of the different types of sake and the tasting helped us find out what kind we like. Plus, we have knowledge about how to identify what is being served when we order! The instructor, Mayo, was the best! She was patient and very knowledgeable about sake. She very clearly explained the lesson and built on each thing we learned which helped the info to stick! She even provided us with the pdf of the presentation we went through in the tasting. We just got back to the U.S. and are planning to recreate the event for our friends! Hopefully we can explain to our friends as well as Mayo did for us. This was a great way to learn about sake and about the production of it in Kyoto. This event is definitely a must to learn more about Japanese culture and have a great time! Thanks, Mayo!
