Things to do in USS Arizona Memorial

There will be a few designated pick-up points, not directly at the hotel. The memorial hall itself doesn't require an entrance fee (though it seems you need to apply in advance), so the cost mainly covers transportation. The tour guide will provide an overview on the bus, and once inside the park, you're free to explore on your own. The paid Chinese audio guide available for rent in the park, in my opinion, is quite useless. You'd be better off using AI to take pictures and have it explain things to you; that would be much clearer.

I hadn't originally planned this trip, but I booked it last minute. Our guide was incredibly enthusiastic about sharing historical information throughout the journey, though it was all in English. While it was challenging to follow, I found it very meaningful. Our guide, Nani, was also very meticulous about explaining the meeting points and times. I recommend renting an audio guide to get more out of the experience and to exchange for a souvenir. It was an unforgettable trip.

This was my first time on a helicopter, and it was such an exciting and enjoyable experience. Before boarding, they showed a safety video; I watched it in English, but it seems you can request Japanese subtitles. All the staff were very kind, and the pilot was a handsome older gentleman. The view of Hawaii from the helicopter was incredibly powerful and breathtaking. Although it was a bit pricey, I believe it was a truly worthwhile experience.

The doors-off helicopter tour is quite unique, but unfortunately, the clouds were thick and it was rainy over the mountains that day, so we couldn't fly there. The intercom button on my seat had an issue, so I couldn't communicate in time during the flight. It's a bit of a shame I didn't get to see Pearl Harbor from the air.
