Dingen om te doen in USS Arizona Memorial

Er zijn een paar vaste ophaalpunten, ze komen niet echt tot onder het hotel. Het herdenkingsmuseum zelf is eigenlijk gratis (maar je moet je waarschijnlijk wel van tevoren aanmelden), dus de kosten zijn voornamelijk voor het vervoer. De gids geeft in de bus alvast een algemene rondleiding, en eenmaal in het park kun je zelf rondlopen. De betaalde Chinese audiogids in het park vond ik persoonlijk nogal nutteloos; het zou duidelijker zijn om foto's te maken met AI en die het je later te laten uitleggen.

Het is de moeite waard om de geschiedenis te bekijken; het is een kort bezoek aan het museum, aangezien het zich op het eigenlijke schip bevindt dat destijds werd geraakt.

I hadn't originally planned this trip, but I booked it last minute. Our guide was incredibly enthusiastic about sharing historical information throughout the journey, though it was all in English. While it was challenging to follow, I found it very meaningful. Our guide, Nani, was also very meticulous about explaining the meeting points and times. I recommend renting an audio guide to get more out of the experience and to exchange for a souvenir. It was an unforgettable trip.

This was my first time on a helicopter, and it was such an exciting and enjoyable experience. Before boarding, they showed a safety video; I watched it in English, but it seems you can request Japanese subtitles. All the staff were very kind, and the pilot was a handsome older gentleman. The view of Hawaii from the helicopter was incredibly powerful and breathtaking. Although it was a bit pricey, I believe it was a truly worthwhile experience.

The doors-off helicopter tour is quite unique, but unfortunately, the clouds were thick and it was rainy over the mountains that day, so we couldn't fly there. The intercom button on my seat had an issue, so I couldn't communicate in time during the flight. It's a bit of a shame I didn't get to see Pearl Harbor from the air.
