If you're considering visiting Okinawa and don't plan to drive, an organized tour is a must. Public transportation in the region isn't as well-structured as in other places, which can make access to certain attractions limited.
I joined a tour & found it to be a fantastic way to explore the island. Our guide was proficient in both Chinese and Japanese, which made communication easy for those who spoke either language. Although my Japanese is minimal, I felt comfortable participating and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
For English speakers, I believe it's still possible to join the tour, as understanding the key logistics—like meeting points and return times—is what really matters. They do a good job of ensuring that everyone is up to speed, so you won't feel lost.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience Southern Okinawa without the hassle of navigating public transport. It's a great way to maximize your time and see the best the island has to offer!

This northern Okinawa tour is longer and requires more time to reach the destination. The driver will drive you to the destinations stated in the list and you will just have free and easy time till the stipulated time by the driver

The attraction is quite interesting; many spots will leave you with endless memories, and you'll feel like you don't have enough time. The only downside is that it was impossible to find the car or the driver, which took longer than scheduled. Additionally, I suggest that the tour company provide the license plate number in detail next time, or provide a sign for the driver to hold up, or have them wear a distinctive vest, etc. Otherwise, I can't make a call with my international phone number, which is really frustrating. I thought I was going to be abandoned 😅.

Our Chinese-speaking driver/guide provided explanations and helped take photos at each location and throughout the ride. The service was very attentive, and my relatives and elders were very satisfied. Although it was a bit more expensive than a Japanese private car, it was worth it!

Good 1 day trip to see fun places in southern Okinawa. generous time buffered. my favorite was the glass boat experience. we didn’t have enough time to go to the aquarium - it’s not included in itinerary.

It was supposed to rain the night before the tour, so it was cloudy and cold enough to see our breath until late morning. However, thanks to our self-proclaimed weather fairy guide, Jeon Ara, we were able to see Mount Fuji on our way back to Tokyo. It was a breathtaking view after a long wait, making for a perfect end to our trip! I appreciated that Guide Jeon Ara adjusted the itinerary based on the weather and on-site conditions, rather than sticking to the planned order. She also gave great recommendations for delicious snacks at each location and provided accurate guidance and explanations. I realized that seeing Mount Fuji is more difficult than expected and requires a lot of luck (😅). Since the temperature is about 5 degrees colder than in downtown Tokyo, I think April would be a great time to visit, as the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom and the weather will be warmer throughout early, mid, and late April. 🌸

2025/12/28 This was my first trip to Fukuoka with my family. We bought a package tour and saw snow in Japan for the first time. We even had a small snowball fight. The tour guide said that the group the day before couldn't make it up because of the snow on the ground. We were lucky today. Although there wasn't much snow on the ground, it was still a great experience. The scenery in Itoshima was really beautiful, and the palm trees were lovely. We had a lot of fun on the swings, and it was a great place to take pictures. The Ichiran factory is also a great place for a walk. At lunchtime, the tour guide arranged for us to eat Ichiran ramen. I heard it was the main store, so we didn't have to wait in line, which was also a great treat. Finally, at Miyajidake Shrine, we enjoyed delicious food and watched the sunset, a perfect combination. So happy!
