Hotels near Himeji Gokoku Shrine

Very good one-night stay. Well-located between the train station and the castle.

The location is great, very close to Himeji Castle and the shopping street. There's also a convenience store nearby, though it's about a 300-meter walk. There are a total of 4 affiliated parking lots, costing ¥700 per day, with tickets available at the front desk. On the 7th floor, there's a terrace where you can enjoy views of the area around Himeji Castle.

The hotel is about a seven to eight-minute walk from the train station. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and several large shopping malls and supermarkets nearby. The shopping street is also close to the hotel, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. The hotel rooms are clean, and basic facilities are complete. The washing machines and dryers are separate, but there are three of each, so you might have to wait to do laundry (if needed). The breakfast selection isn't extensive; I stayed for four nights, and the breakfast was essentially the same every day.

The family said I was their first ever guest from Pakistan. This was my first attempt at experiencing japanese hospitality and I did make mistakes 🫣but I loved the homely place. it was a 15 min walk to Himeji Castle. for travellers who aren’t used to Japanese plugs/sockets: pls take note!
