"We used the Kansai Area Pass (3-Day) for our trip, and it was incredibly convenient and offered amazing value for money! The redemption process was super easy—we just took our e-voucher to the JR West ticket machines in front of Kyoto Station, scanned our passports, and the machine printed our main pass along with vouchers to exchange for Kyoto Subway and 2 other private railway day passes (which are awesome free bonuses included with this pass!). We fully utilized this pass over the 3 days with a fantastic itinerary: Day 1: Traveled around the beautiful Lake Biwa area. Day 2: Explored Kyoto using the complimentary private railway/subway passes, then took a limited express train to Shin-Osaka where we stayed. Day 3: Traveled out to Rokkomichi Station in Kobe to ride the Rokko Cable and enjoy the stunning night view of Kobe Bay (note: the cable car ticket itself is purchased separately). Finally, we used the pass to reserve seats on the Haruka to Kansai International Airport.

The JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass is truly worth it. You can use it to ride the Haruka express train and the Shinkansen with reserved seats from the airport all the way to Hiroshima. You can ride as many times as you want, making it incredibly cost-effective. If you calculate the prices, it far exceeds the cost of the pass. I highly recommend this pass if you plan to travel along this route; you'll definitely get your money's worth.

1. Please confirm the applicable scope of the pass. Some attractions, such as the Miyajima ferry, require an additional tax. 2. If you have enough stamina, this is definitely an excellent choice for a San'in-Sanyo trip, as you can reserve seats an unlimited number of times (the machine can only reserve same-day seats and only 6 times). Therefore, it is recommended to plan your travel itinerary and have the service center staff assist you with booking all transportation for the current day and beyond, which will save a lot of time. 3. It is advisable to learn how to take local buses, as transportation in some Sanyo areas is not well-developed and requires a combination of luggage storage and buses. 4. If you have large luggage, be sure to store it or drop it off at your hotel first to avoid being refused boarding or delaying others. 5. Stamina is key to making the most of this pass. This helped me a lot to go to all the places I've been to in Kansai area. Since I am new to how the train system works in Japan, I tend to get lost and with this pass I never have to worry about spending extra for transpo if I end up in the wrong station as this is unlimited.

Perfect for travelers using the Sanyo Shinkansen. The pass covers the Sanyo Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Hakata. Please note: Kokura and Mojiko are already within the JR Shikoku area, and this pass cannot be used for trains below limited express. Price: Still 22,000 yen.

We bought the 7 days rail pass for Kansai Hokuriku area. When we arrive at Kansai Airport, we used this pass to take a train from osaka airport to fukui . Of course you have to change train a few times but it is manageable for us even though we had three big luggage. We also took shinkansen from Fukui to Toyama and shin osaka to okayama. If you travel s lot within these 7 days, this pass is for you.however, if for only one trip, it is not worth it..

The meeting point was easy to find. A list of registered participants was posted on the door, allowing us to confirm our bus number directly. We then checked in with the tour guide who was on-site holding the list of tourists. Our guide, Xiao Bi, was excellent in managing time, and was incredibly meticulous, patient, enthusiastic, and friendly. He was a guide who made us feel completely at ease. Among the three attractions, Himeji Castle felt the most worthwhile for an extended stay. Just climbing through the castle itself takes at least 1-2 hours (depending on the crowd), and there's an exciting shopping street below the castle that we really wanted to explore. The allocated 4 hours for the entire visit was quite sufficient. My friend and I did not opt for the included lunch. We started touring the castle around 10:30 AM and left at 12:30 PM. Afterward, we quickly grabbed lunch and briefly browsed the shopping street. We walked through Koko-en Garden in about 10-20 minutes. Arima Onsen, though very famous, involved a rather winding mountain road that made me a little carsick. The footbath area was packed with people, so we ultimately chose to soak our feet in the cool stream, which was also very pleasant. The hot spring town felt a bit like Jiufen Old Street, great for browsing and shopping! The observation deck at Mount Rokko was very comfortable. We were lucky to have good weather, allowing us to clearly see Kobe and Osaka from Mount Rokko. We returned to Osaka around 6:30 PM, which still left us some time to explore the Namba commercial district. Overall, it was a very economical and worthwhile itinerary.

We went on February 8th, two families in one minibus. It happened to be snowing that day, and we saw Himeji Castle in the snow, so beautiful! After arriving at Arima Onsen, the snow gradually got heavier, and some roads were closed. We couldn't go up Mount Rokko, but the driver cooperated with our schedule and departed earlier to return to the city, avoiding being stranded on the mountain.
