Things to do in Sistine Chapel

Eddy is the most amazing guide! He is equal parts of knowledgeable and humourous. His detailed explanations helped us to appreciate the centuries of history, culture and art that is preserved in the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. I would definitely recommend paying more to get a guided experience! It's well worth it!

Please remember to refer to the email sent by the tour operator and go to the designated meeting point at the specified time to check in with the staff. After checking in, the tour guide will distribute tickets and audio guides to the group members (please keep your tickets safe, as they will be checked at least twice after entering the Vatican). Our tour guide was very responsible and knowledgeable, providing us with detailed explanations of the historical background and interesting facts about the Vatican and its architecture, which was very enriching. Please note that once you leave a building within the Vatican, you cannot re-enter it. If you wish to visit again, you will need to purchase another ticket (for example, once you leave the museum for the chapel, you cannot return to the museum). Also, this tour does not include Raphael's Rooms. Tickets to climb the dome must be purchased separately. The dome has two levels: the first level has 300 steps (with an elevator), and the second level to the very top has 200 steps (no elevator). From the highest building in Rome, you can overlook the entire city.

I highly recommend visiting the Vatican Museums. Upon arrival at the meeting point, our guide thoroughly explained the process, distributed tickets, and led us through the fast-track entrance. We also downloaded the audio guide app. If you have time, I suggest purchasing a guided tour. The museum houses an extensive collection, with each piece telling a fascinating story. Having the explanations made the experience truly wonderful.

I was suspicious at how cheap this was at first compared to all the other tours on Viator and Get Your Guide, but this tour saved me and my friend as a last minute booking! Excellent early morning Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour. The early access made a big difference because the visit felt more organized and less crowded than the usual daytime tours. Our guide was knowledgeable, clear, and engaging, explaining the history, art, and important details in a way that made the experience much more meaningful. Seeing the Sistine Chapel early in the day was truly memorable. Overall, it was well worth it and highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome.

It's super easy to walk in, and you don't have to wait in line at all. That was absolutely perfect for me.

Everything went well on this tour. I just feel like the itinerary was fast-paced, but I would still say it’s worth it. We had ample time to see the highlights of the trip. After the tour, you have the opportunity to spend your time in St Peter’s Basilica and explore the vast surroundings including the Pieta and souvenir shop.
