When I first heard that the tour would take 4-5 hours, I was worried it would be boring and tiring. But by the end of the tour, I realized my worries were unfounded. The tour started at 8:40 AM and ended at 2 PM, but it was so enjoyable that I didn't even notice how time flew by. If I hadn't taken the tour, I would have simply overlooked all of this enriching content, and it was truly a perfect time with absolutely no regrets.
I am grateful to guide Hong Jin-pyo for taking such good care of the 17 people in our group. He explained things non-stop for 5 hours without showing any signs of fatigue, which made me think, 'He really loves this job,' and allowed me to immerse myself even more deeply. (I'm also really grateful for his sense not to take us to a 2-star cafeteria! lol)
Traveling through Italy, I felt like the past and history were alive and breathing. In particular, I felt as if the medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras were still dancing with modern people. As the saying goes, 'You only see as much as you know,' and I keenly felt the difference between seeing something with knowledge and seeing it without. I'm glad I was able to experience that process of learning through the tour, and I hope everyone who visits Italy has this enriching experience. I highly recommend the Vatican tour!
