Fantastic 5.0
Today's weather was quite cloudy, but our female tour guide and driver worked very hard, observing the clouds to find a suitable spot for aurora viewing. In the last hour before we had to leave, we finally saw the aurora, which was incredibly lucky. I'm very grateful to her for driving us around to find the best viewing spots and for helping us take beautiful photos. 🥰

Fantastic 5.0
Our 4-day, 3-night trip was excellent overall. I was a bit worried at first, but upon arrival at the airport, a tour guide met us. On the way to the hotel, we saw the Northern Lights, and the guide immediately helped us chase them and take photos. Due to limited room availability, we couldn't stay in the same hotel for all three nights. The guide assisted us with the hotel transfer and arranged for us to tour the city with explanations. For the three nights of aurora chasing, on the second night, we were arranged to wait for the Northern Lights in a house, or we could choose to wait in a tent. On the third night, we waited in the car. Hot tea and water were also provided.

Fantastic 5.0
I am Korean and went on a tour with Chinese tourists. The Chinese male guide was very kind. However, a snowmobile driven by another Chinese tourist went off the road and into the mountains ^^. The guide worked very hard because of that tourist. I got to ride the snowmobile for a long time. Thank you for creating unforgettable memories.

The coach was really friendly and helpful. He make sure that all of us knew how to control the vehicle and took care of us all time. The whole experience was safer and interested than I thought. Hightly recommend this to other!

Great 4.0
Upon arrival, I found hair on the bed and towels, and the sheets were wrinkled, which made me question if the room had truly been cleaned. Although the issue was promptly resolved after I reported it, it left me feeling a bit distrustful. This was disappointing, especially for a higher-grade hotel.

What to know before visiting Yellowknife

Snapshot of Yellowknife’s travel scene

Yellowknife draws most Klook interest for cultural experiences, outdoor and sports activities, and guided tours, with demand peaking around October and dipping in August. The booking pattern shows a strong autumn surge while the rest of the year stays comparatively quiet, so the city’s yearly rhythm shifts between lively peak-season activity and much calmer months.

When to visit for best prices and crowds

Klook booking data shows demand peaks in October and reaches its lowest point in August. Prices on Klook rise and fall across the year: past data indicate July tended to be the priciest month while November typically offered the lowest prices. If you want smaller crowds and lower costs, consider visiting in November or the quieter late-summer months; if you’re after the peak-season atmosphere and the busiest events, aim for October. Note that demand and price don’t move perfectly together here — the busiest month (October) is not the single priciest month (that was July), so you can encounter high demand without the absolute highest ticket prices.

Tips for travellers

Most experiences in Yellowknife can be planned with flexibility: Klook’s aggregate booking behaviour shows travellers typically book around 20 days in advance, with many last-minute bookings possible a few days out. If you prefer to travel with more certainty during the October peak, consider reserving popular cultural or outdoor activities a few weeks ahead; otherwise, spontaneous plans often work well on Klook.
