Penang Day trips

It was a good 1-hour experience with the kids. Fortunately, the weather wasn't too hot, which made it even better. It was nice to be able to eat fruit and see plants that are common on farms. One downside is that the English guide didn't seem to have excellent English skills. However, there were no communication problems at all.

Thank you to Josh for sharing his hometown knowledge. We would highly recommend this tour.

We are a family size of 3 (with a 4yo). Uncle Jimmy our chauffeur came to get us from our hotel at Georgetown and took us safely and comfortably to Balik Pulau. Rizal was our ATV guide. Being the only female, he allowed me to be second in line with my hubby and boy the next, followed by a group of 5 (all male). He constantly checked on us throughout the ride, gestured to stop at various locations and assisted us in taking amazing photos. He gave us a heads up what to expect in the next leg of journey (e.g. Cow). Last stop was at Hutan Paya Laut, a swamp forest leading to the ocean where we met the friendly ginger cat before making our way back. Uncle Jimmy was already there waiting for us to take us back to our hotel. Had our complimentary lemongrass drink and a slice of banana cake at Love uu cafe before hoping into Uncle Jimmy's car and bidding farewell. My 4yo enjoyed it so much! Thank you Rizal! We will be back!

It was an extraordinary experience with straightforward communication with the tour guide for pickup. The areas visited (Penang Hill with the funicular railway and the Kek Lok Si Temple) were impressive. Especially around the time of the New Year festival, the temple was decorated with many lanterns. There is so much to discover and see, you could spend a whole day there. It was simply great! On the way back, you can also be dropped off at a Hawker center for lunch instead of returning to the hotel hungry.

One of the most beautiful places in Penang! Loved the kampung vibe and enjoyed the best Red Prawn durian! Shout out to our professional guide Mr Law who went above and beyond in ensuring we are well taken care of and in sharing his knowledge. ☺️

Such a great trip. A must do activity. Eddie was one of the best guides we have had. Perfect timing. Learnt lots. Scenery great. Stops spaced well and lots of variety. Only negative was didn't get a confirmation the night before but did get an email early morning of. Would highly recommend this day trip.

There should be a 10 option for rating because that is how great this tour is! The tour guide, CC, is very knowledgeable of Penang history, and he also shared more context on the different temples and Chinese associations in Penang. The tour itself allowed us to see the different cultures that have existed in Penang and how they live in harmony. The tour has given us a different perspective of Penang and how important it is to the trade routes back then and until today.

We woke up early to head to Balik Pulau for a countryside bike ride, often called Penang's last secret garden. Sam led us through lush rice paddies, villages, coastal areas, and mangrove forests. We saw a variety of tropical fruits, spices, organic crops, incredibly colorful birds, tiny red crabs, and fighting mudskippers. It was a truly unique cycling experience. A special thank you to Sam, who was both professional and enthusiastic, sharing insights into Penang Island's history, culture, and local charm, and even picking rambutans for us to taste. If you're visiting Penang, we highly recommend a bike tour in Balik Pulau; it's the best way to truly experience this beautiful countryside.

This was a great travel experience! The tour guide was very enthusiastic and thoroughly introduced each scenic spot. Their explanations were clear, kept things engaging, and they were considerate of everyone's time and feelings. The entire trip was relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍
