George Town Penang Hill Sunrise Half-Day Tour

Tour guide Ricky Ooi had been in close contact with me before I set off. The original itinerary specified a meeting at Long Cheng Hotel. He flexibly arranged to pick us up at our hotel in George Town, which made us feel at ease 👍🏻 and arrived at the hotel in advance. He introduced us to the precautions and items of the relevant itinerary, so that we arrived at Penang Hill as soon as possible and took the first cable car 🚡 and guided us to the best position in the car to enjoy the scenery along the way 👍🏻 Advance reminder of various attractions, the wonderful places made us dazzled 👍🏻 The most exciting thing was that under his guidance, I enjoyed a perfect sunrise for the first time in history 🌅 The red sun suddenly rose on the horizon, which was shocking 🤩 Because it had just rained the day before, the sky was extremely bright, showing golden clouds, even the people on the day shouted that they had never seen it before, and finally saw a rainbow 🌈 It is really a rare opportunity 🧚🏻‍♀️ The most fortunate thing is that we were able to bump into Vicky, who has more than 30 years of tour guide experience. His professionalism is impeccable. The angle of the story of each attraction is very good. He also took care of our needs and took us to the Siam Sisters Curry Noodle Shop, which has won Michelin for two consecutive years, for breakfast and tasted the taste of food 👍🏻 RICKY is very experienced in leading private tours. He knows that customers have their own preferences, so he arranged flexible time and introduced the characteristics of the market in detail first, gave us time to move freely, and also treated us to the local specialty fried bananas 🍌👍🏻 When we were finally sent back to the hotel, it was still before 3:00 pm. He used his previous status to help us successfully lobby the hotel to let us check in early 👍🏻 Next time I come to Penang, I must find Ricky as a private tour guide 👍🏻 He is really a five-star tour guide 🤩 I sincerely recommend it to everyone 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We were very fortunate to have Mr Eric Ng as our guide: - Eric was very kind to pick us up from our hotel as we were the only guests that morning. - Our first stop was to see the sunrise from the peak of Penang Hill. Though the clouds hid the sunrise from view, it was still a great experience guided by the very humourous and knowledgeable Eric. - We rode the tram, walked around the lush green hills in lovely cool air, saw the Hindu temple & bronze canon etc. while Eric shared about the fascinating history and culture. We even met a handsome kitty on the viewing platform. :) - Next we visited Air Itam morning market to taste some delicious local foods such as curry noodles, char kway teow, roti canai etc. - We also visited the local Kek Lok Si temple. - The last stop was a visit to a local coffee producer for tasing and shopping. I totally recommend Mr Eric Ng as your guide for this very enjoyable tour.

We decided to join this sunrise tour after arriving in Penang. Based on the weather forecast, we thought it would be a nice day, but it rained, so we couldn't see the sunrise, which was a shame. Our guide, Ricky, was a really nice guy. We were the only group that day, so he arranged to pick us up and drop us off directly at our hotel. Ricky was very talkative and introduced us to the local culture and specialties. At a market, we even ate Penang's second-place award-winning 'char kway teow,' which was really good! Thank you, Ricky! 😊

Although we couldn't see the sunrise due to the heavy fog, we did see the night view. The tour guide, Ricky Ooi, was excellent, knowledgeable, talkative, and polite. Only my friend and I participated in the tour that day, and Ricky specially came to our hotel to pick us up and drop us off, so we didn't have to go to another meeting point, which was very thoughtful!

RICKY was very professional and on time for pick-up and drop-off. He also introduced authentic food to us and cared about our feelings. He could answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this trip. It helped us a lot.

I am very grateful for Mr. Eric's help. Although it was unfortunate that it rained, he was flexible and guided us through various places during breaks in the rain. The mountain climbing by cable car in the morning was very impressive. In particular, it was memorable to encounter a family of monkeys, which I rarely see, and I was very satisfied that I came to the mountain. I was also impressed by his punctuality, and he was able to perfectly match our schedule, which I think is very convenient for those with tight schedules. This time, it was just the two of us, so we were able to relax in a nice car and enjoy the tour comfortably. Thank you very much.
