Fantastic 5.0
Super cheap! Excellent value for money, the rooms are clean and tidy, with a sense of design. The rooms and bathrooms are also quite large. The triple room has three beds, so everyone has plenty of space. There are vending machines, washing machines (wash, dry, and tumble for ¥500/cycle), ice machines, etc., but there are no facilities such as a large public bath or observation deck. Instead, there are a bunch of wedding halls, but it doesn't affect the accommodation experience. The only drawback is that it's a bit far from Morioka Station, a ten-minute walk.

Fantastic 5.0
Great hotel overall especially for the price. The location is close to Morioka station with lots of restaurants nearby. The public bath on the roof is REALLY nice not only because of the outdoor bath but also the fact that the indoor windows can show you a view of Mount Iwate. One of the best parts of the public bath isn’t even inside it’s when you get out and they have free popsicles and an manga reading area! If you are also low on cash they have free half size miso ramen from 9 - 11 pm.

Fantastic 5.0
My recent stay was excellent! The room was spacious, bright, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were complete, and the location was convenient for transportation. The exquisite and delicious breakfast was an added bonus. It offers great value for money, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone for a relaxing getaway.

Fantastic 5.0
This accommodation is very close to Morioka Station, and the Odori downtown area is also within walking distance. Although the room facilities are not new, they are very clean and odor-free. My only minor complaint is the location of the entrance/exit. One entrance requires walking around to the back alley, while the entrance facing the main road is the famous Morioka Reimen restaurant, Pyon Pyon Sha (which also has a back entrance). If you leave early or return late, you might encounter equipment placed outside. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about. It's a highly recommended stay with excellent value for money.

More about Morioka hotels

Staying in Morioka: what to expect

Staying in Morioka offers a compact price spread between the most affordable and the most premium options — roughly a hair over 1:1 — so stepping up a class won’t dramatically inflate your budget. The best balance of value and comfort typically sits with the standard tier, making it a sensible default for most travellers.

How hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy options are minimal in the local data, so the standard tier is the common entry point: it delivers solid value without a large premium over the cheapest choices. Moving up to the premium tier is the clearest decision point — it’s the biggest jump in nightly rates and suits travellers who want a noticeably more polished stay for a moderate extra cost. Luxury-level properties aren’t represented in the available summary, so those seeking the highest-end hotel experience should expect a further step up beyond the premium band.

When travellers book

The cheapest month for rates is January and the priciest month is August, so budget-led trips fit best in January when nightly rates are substantially lower than the peak. Rooms here are typically booked about 47 days in advance, so if your dates fall in August you may want to lock in earlier, while shorter-notice plans are more workable outside the priciest period.
