Co dělat v Sendai Station

Hotel shuttle within 2km of Sendai JR Station makes getting around super convenient. There isn't much of a guided tour; everyone just shares a comfortable 9-passenger van. Be sure to check the email sent the evening before for the exact arrival time at the pick-up spot, and it is recommended to head downstairs a bit early to wait. The following costs are not included: Fox Village admission fee (Junior high school students and above = 1500 yen / younger = free); Hand-stretched Shiroishi Umumen noodles at Koan (meal cost). We arrived and waited for a table before the restaurant opened, with a total of about 15 people across two vans. It took 17 minutes just to be seated and place our orders after opening, leaving only 15 minutes until the meeting time after the food was served. Waiting so long for a meal and then having to rush through eating was quite stressful—while the van will wait for you, it is rather annoying.

I když jsme nepřijeli v zimě, bylo to tu přesto velmi krásné. Celkové prostředí je klidné, turistů tu bylo dost. Cestovatelům, kteří si chtějí dopřát termální lázně, doporučujeme vzít si s sebou vlastní ručník na osušení nohou. Sedět u řeky, kochat se výhledem a odpočívat je opravdu skvělý zážitek.

Přestože počasí nebylo ideální, protože jsme z lanovky Zao neviděli nic, průvodce nám ochotně navrhl jiné trasy. Byl to také vtipný průvodce, díky kterému jsme se během celé cesty cítili uvolněně. Zákazníci z Tchaj-wanu byli navíc tak přátelští, že mi dovolili připojit se k jejich skupině 🥹 Doporučuji tento zájezd všem, kteří se ho chystají zúčastnit. Je lepší si vzít bundu, abyste se na hoře Zao udrželi v teple!

The tour guide was very thoughtful! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, and the nine-seater van was full. The timing was perfectly managed, and the guide even gave us a brief introduction to the sights. It's a shame it rained the whole time we were there, which made it a bit more challenging! Even so, we still felt that overall, it was a great one-day trip! Not tiring at all! Highly recommend it to everyone.

The instructor was very patient, especially when guiding us through the wagashi making process. Thank you also for reminding me of the artistic value of nerikiri and green tea – two types of treats I usually enjoy eating and drinking. I typically only know how to taste them, but here I learned to create every detail of the nerikiri. Additionally, the instructor spoke English very well; some idioms were still a bit unclear, but that was not an issue. Japanese was followed by an English translation when there were both Japanese and foreign participants.

Mr. Koike's teaching style is lively and engaging. Both my daughter and I had a wonderful time shaping our creations, and we got to enjoy them right away after finishing. It is definitely worth experiencing. The location is also very easy to find—just a one- or two-minute walk from the bus stop.
