Louvre Museum

The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre) in Paris is one of the world’s most renowned cultural institutions, attracting art lovers globally. Originally a fortress built by Philip II, the present Louvre Palace became a public museum after the French Revolution, housing an extensive collection of paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts. It features works seized from the royal collection, confiscated church property, and acquisitions from the French Empire. Visitors enter through the main entrance, marked by the glass pyramid, leading to the underground lobby and eight curatorial departments, including Egyptian antiquities, Near Eastern antiquities, Islamic art, and Greek, Etruscan, and Roman antiquities. The Louvre’s collection features masterworks such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, displayed in the Grande Galerie and Musée Napoléon. The museum’s history spans from its origins as a fortress to its transformation during the French Revolution and its role in the Second French Empire. While the Louvre’s influence extends globally, including the creation of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, it is often compared to the Musée d’Orsay, which focuses on 19th- and early 20th-century art. With deep ties to France’s history, from Louis XIV to Louis XVIII, the Louvre primarily serves as a bridge between diverse cultures and artistic eras. A escorted tour through its exhibition spaces and Cour Carrée offers an unparalleled journey through ancient civilizations and nation’s masterpieces, making it a must-visit museum.

We as a family had a really great experience with Picster. The team reached out early and gave clear, easy instructions, so we knew exactly what to expect. Our photographer, Vishwajeet, was very gentle and patient, especially with our little girl. He made her feel comfortable right away, and she enjoyed the whole shoot. The photos turned out beautiful — natural, bright, and full of her real smiles. We’re very happy with the results and highly recommend Picster to families looking for a smooth and friendly photoshoot experience.

I visited Mont Saint-Michel on April 29, 2026. The travel time was quite long, about 5 hours one way. Although the bus had a restroom, it was not actually usable, and we had a 30-minute restroom break along the way. Honestly, the seats were quite cramped, and the long journey felt a bit tough. Nevertheless, the scenery upon arrival was breathtaking, and the splendor of Mont Saint-Michel itself made me forget the travel fatigue. We had about 4 hours at the site, but the interior of the building was much larger than I expected, with many attractions, so I felt we didn't have quite enough time. I recommend allowing ample time for visiting the abbey. Also, the famous omelet restaurant gets crowded, so it's best to visit early. Overall, the travel was challenging, but it's a tourist destination well worth the effort, and I felt very satisfied.

It’s truly a one of a kind experience and a MUST do while in Paris! 🇫🇷✨ The food was great, tasted really good, and the portions were just right. Dining while cruising along the Seine, surrounded by the beauty of Paris, made the whole experience even more special. 🥂❤️ The only comment I would make is regarding the change of boarding dock. The location was changed without us being informed. Fortunately, we arrived early at the dock stated on our voucher and happened to notice a notice saying that the boat had been moved to a different dock. The new boarding point was about a 15 minute walk from the original location. Had we arrived at the recommended 15 minutes before departure, we would have most likely missed the cruise! Aside from that communication issue, it was a wonderful experience, great food, beautiful views, and an unforgettable evening in the City of Love. 🗼❤️🥂

When I rode the Big Bus, there wasn't a separate place to scan the barcode. Even when I showed it to the staff, they just told me to get on. Since there's no ticket exchanged, it might be a bit inconvenient when you want to take the river cruise. So, with the help of the cruise staff, we searched the Big Bus website, entered our reservation number, and were issued a ticketing barcode to board the cruise, which worked out well. We rode the Big Bus, took photos at the Arc de Triomphe, and then ate and enjoyed ourselves on the Champs-Élysées. Since it was getting late, we walked to the river cruise. Have a pleasant trip! The cruise is especially beautiful around 10:30 PM.

Two years ago, I took the Paris Bustronome for the first time and was so incredibly satisfied that I booked it again for this trip. My heart was fluttering with excitement even before I left! It's impossible not to book when you can comfortably see Paris's main attractions while enjoying delicious food and wine. I was very satisfied again this time. If I have any friends going to Paris, I would definitely recommend they try this. It's great that booking through Klook is so easy and convenient. I will definitely use it again next time!

LEVANT (idk how to spell) IS AMAZINGGGGGG! By far one of the BEST tours I’ve ever gone on! He’s super knowledgeable about stuff, funny and super chill. I didnt have small notes so I couldnt tip him but gosh I wish I did!!! Lots of Malaysians say Paris is boring & dirty but he’ll bring you to spots where it’s not as crowded so it’s much more enjoyable and we get a different angle of the spots which I REALLY LOVED! Highly recommended

What to know before visiting Paris

Paris at a glance: culture, views and river life

Paris draws most bookings for museums, cruises and guided tours, with observation decks and historical sites also popular. Demand peaks in June and falls to a low in March, so the city’s rhythm swings between busy early summer activity and much quieter late winter months.

When to visit and how prices behave through the year

According to Klook booking data, June is the busiest month while March is the quietest. Prices rise toward the winter-to-early-year peak shown in February and January, and dip around September and again in early summer—June’s price is notably lower than the priciest months in the price series. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in March or September; if you’re chasing the peak-season atmosphere and lots of activity, plan for June. Overall, demand and prices don’t always move together here: the busiest month isn’t the priciest, so you can find busy-season vibes without the very highest costs.

Tips for travellers from travellers worldwide

Most experiences in Paris can be booked fairly close to arrival — Klook data shows typical bookings about seven days ahead and late bookings as late as one day before. If you’ll travel during the peak month of June, consider planning and securing popular museum tickets or river cruises a few weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Use Klook to compare dates and lock in flexible options so you can enjoy Paris whether your trip is planned or spontaneous.
