What To Expect

Start off this unique Hakata tour by visiting a store selling the famous Japanese dolls the city is known for. Stroll down a quaint old street built in the Meiji period, the traditional architecture and atmosphere rivals that of Kyoto. Pay a visit to local temples including famous Shofukuji Temple, founded by the priest Yousai and the first Zen temple ever built in Japan. Yousai is crediting with first introducing tea to Japan from China. Next make your way to Saimon Kamaboko, a local store selling fish processed food for over 100 years. End the tour at the Nagasawa gift store to purchase souvenirs to remember your time in historic Hakata.

How To Use
  • You can present either a printed or a mobile voucher for this activity
  • The voucher is valid only on the tour date and time specified
  • Meet up point: In front of the elevators at Hakata station, Hakata-guchi (look for the Burabura Fukuoka flag)
  • Please arrive at the meet up point 10 minutes before scheduled departure
  • If the weather is not suitable for walking, the tour will visit indoor locations e.g. Kawabata shopping street and Riverain Mall instead
