Day Tour on 4 June 2026 with Naomi. This was such an unexpectedly beautiful and relaxing tour. It started with the Sanzen-in Temple, graceful amidst a series of surreal gardens with mini stone Buddhas peppered all over the greens, and ended with a breathtaking ride on the Sagano Romantic train. Naomi was a patient and friendly guide who went above and beyond to make the tour comfortable for every single person. It was a joy to be part of the carefully planned tour. I highly recommend it to those who love nature, culture, architecture old and new, and the delightful treats of Kyoto.

Our tour guide, Li Jun, was very approachable. He contacted us the evening before to provide a detailed itinerary for the day. In the morning, we first visited Sanzen-in Temple, which was very peaceful. We enjoyed a cup of green tea and admired the surrounding plants, which was very relaxing. In the afternoon, we went to Arashiyama, where we explored the area, had lunch, and walked through the bamboo forest. The guide also provided our location and the meeting point, and gave a brief introduction to each attraction. Everything was well-arranged, and we all had a very relaxed and enjoyable day.

The overall itinerary matched the description. We had six adults and two children, and the schedule felt a little rushed. We were often a bit stressed about getting back on time, but the tour guide was very considerate and led us back, worried we might get lost. The day included two activities, one lasting two hours and the other three. However, the Sagano Scenic Railway ride itself took an hour, and getting to and from the station took another hour.
