This was a great experience well worth taking some time out to go along. We had some difficulty finding the location using a taxi. They require the telephone number 075-533-6666 so if klook could add this to the location details this would make it easier. Lots of nice eateries and tourist shops in the location too.

beautiful experience! There are so many kimonos to choose from and so many beautiful photos to choose from, we added 2 to the initial package! The book they give you is worth it and they also send you all the photos they take to the cloud, which are really a lot! I also really appreciated the possibility of taking photos of ourselves for free! excellent experience to repeat next time in Kyoto ❤️

I'm extremely excited and happy to have fulfilled my dream of visiting Kyoto and transform into a maiko. Thankful to discover Klook that offers a good package. The service by the studio is good. A cherished memory.

This was incredible, my wife ruined her makeup due to happy tears. This was a bucket list item for her. 10/10 highly recommended.

good service and great pictures for memories! make sure to set aside two hours. one for dress up and another for the pictures. a local friend complained about some technical mistakes about the dress but I'm sure even most Japanese wouldn't even notice.

good location. 3 photos in a photo book are included in the price. 1000 yen for extra photo. we did one extra because we wanted to see the garden which is just the front part of the inside building. I think it was worth it. they were really nice. and really busy. total time was 1.5 hours there. much better than the Oiran experience which has so many upsells once you get there and doesn’t even include photos.

I absolutely loved this experience. For women that choose to do the half wig and makeup, all necessities are provided in the changing room (shampoo and conditioner to remove the black hair wax - for light color hair), makeup/ white paint remover, face wash, wet wipes, towels and even hair combs! Just know there are no showers, only sinks to wash off the makeup and wash hair if necessary. When planning this activity, there might be delays, every step takes time, but it’s worth the wait! The indoor photo session is very professional. The makeup comes out beautifully on pictures even if it looks uneven in person. the kimono selection is great as well. The location is up the hill and very touristic area, with lots of shops, street food stands and mochi making with a neverendubg queue. It’s very crowded and the traffic is unbelievable. experience: 10/10! location: 6/10!

My young daughter and I loved this experience! Everything from choosing our kimonos, the make-up and hair, being dressed, and the hospitality and kindness - Can’t fault it. The photographer was amazing and professional, taking beautiful photos of us to look back on fondly for years to come. We were given two books of our portraits, both of great quality and provided a digital link to our photos - both touched up and not. We were also provided to opportunity to use props and take photos on my personal device after the shoot at no extra charge. My daughter is 5yrs old and was thrilled to be dressed up and made to feel special for the afternoon. Seeing her joy, and having lovely photos of myself with her also is something I will treasure. Thank you so much for the time, care, professionalism, and kindness. Highly recommend, the team go above and beyond. Thank you so much!

It was a birthday gift for our daughter's birthday, which happened to be during our trip to Japan. My wife, my daughter, and my mother participated in this activity. It was very easy to find it and book it via Klook compared to other direct websites, therefore I recommend using Klook for that particular activity. Overall, a complete Japanese outfit with complete "white-face" makeup for those wishing to. My wife chose to do all the makeup, and it was terrific. My daughter took some makeup, which was very beautiful. There was a photo shoot in the studio since it was cloudy outside. The session was amazing to them, and we have beautiful souvenir photos from this activity. This is something unique to do, and I recommend doing it. You get at the end several printed photos and a calendar-style photo. Also, all photos are available to download via Dropbox.

This was a magical experience for me. Definitely a “must do” when visiting Kyoto. The staff were so friendly and professional. The place was easy to find. A thumbs up!
