1-Hour Geisha/Maiko Show in Kyoto

it was such an honor and a great experience. Definitely worth the money. We had fun as Ai was such an excellent guide. She provided nuances between Maiko and Geiko, correcting the preconceived notions given by the movie, Memoirs of a Geisha, and being an excellent entrepreter. Umemai-san, the maiko that performed for us, was very amazing. For someone so young to be able to perform for us with great confidence and answer all of our questions, she was just superb. Great job for GuideMe Japan Team for arranging this tour!

what an wonderful experience. the performance and information provided by the lovely Maiko Umemai was absolutely splendid and our guide Genki did a fabulous job in hosting us and providing translations throughout. thankyou all 100% recommend to anyone wanting a cultural experience. we didn't participate in the Shrine tour afterwards due to us stumbling upon the Shrine on the way to the geisha experience however I have no doubt that would have been fantastic aswell

An amazing and unique experience with our guide Yoshino. Meeting a real life Maiko in one of the oldest districts was very special experience. I would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing quality epxwrience. if you’re wondering if you should book this experience DO IT. you won’t regret it. The okiya was beautiful and the Q&A session as well as the information shared was richly informative and exciting. We all got to play a game st the end with the meiko as well. Beautiful and fun experience. 100% recommend. Arrive 10 minutes before so you can have first draw at seating into the tea house. the group size wqs considered large but was reasonable and we all sat around a table to view the show

The tour guide was excellent, able to switch between Chinese and English to describe the unique features of each attraction, as well as recommend worthwhile restaurants and shops. Every place we ate at was delicious, and the overall pace of the tour was well-managed.

We had a great time during this tour. we really get the geisha experience. A you g geisha explained everything the group asked and performed a dance. next to that we played a game en went to a shrine.

Mizuki did an amazing job at walking us through the beautiful art of Gheishas / Geikos and was also translating all of our questions and Tomitae-San (the Geiko) who performed was very welcoming, informative and professional.

A beautiful presentation and experience. A great way to learn about a rich tradition, and our guide/translator Ai was incredibly informative, patient and thorough. There was ample time for q&a and we also had the opportunity to play games with the Maiko.

it was a really eye opening experience for me to watch a performance like this and also have an opportunity during Q&A to understand more about the Maiko we met. Rin the guide was also super helpful and nice :)
