Kimono Rental Experience (Kyoto/provided by mimosa)

I booked the couple set with hairstyling! This was the only place that I found opened early enough so the streets were somewhat empty enough to take pictures. There were many options to choose from and the staff were super kind and friendly. One of the ladies even took pictures for us! I think the price is reasonable as well.

It is a place that has many options of Kimonos and yukatas to choose from. We were able to take some really cool photos around Gion and Pontocho river with very few people because we booked early. The hairstyle they did for her was amazing and they did it super fast.

I was nervous because I didn't know much about Japanese, but I don't know if he's Korean or speaks Korean well, but he was able to communicate in Korean! There were a lot of different types of clothes and there were a lot of pretty ones. It was hard to choose. They gave recommendations, helped me get dressed, did my hair, and communicated with me in various ways. They were so kind and fun. I was so grateful. They even lent me an umbrella, which was the best🤍 Traveling to Kyoto with couples. If you do, be sure to rent a kimono or yukata. The photos will look pretty. If you take a taxi from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, it costs about 700 to 800 yen, and it takes about 20 minutes on foot! For reference

we could easily locate the store and the road outside the store would be the first one to take a very good Kyoto style photo in kimono. very polite staff, they were very helpful. four starts since my kimono loosened up by afternoon.

Love the kimono! We felt like a local wearing it. We really enjoyed the experience. The shop is only a few minutes away from the tourist spots. All the staffs are really nice and friendy. Highly recommended when visiting Kyoto.

Best location to go around Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka Street, Kiyomizu-dera. The kimono was cute. We brought along our luggage, they even let us keep it with them even after returning the kimono. As a hijabi girl, they have non-hair styling options that others don’t have, which more cheaper.

The place is awesome. It is a good place to go for kimono outfits. You can see classic houses in the area as well.

Highly recommend this rental! The staff is very nice and can dress you up quickly. They were also understanding when we arrived late (we got lost on the way). Reasonably priced. Nice selection of kimonos as well.

This store was the only one open before 9 am. Its location is perfect, close to all the beautiful picture spots. We had completely freedom to choose the kimonos they dressed up us nicely and fast so we were able to take amazing pictures with no one in it.
