Reviews
Absolutely loved this kimono rental experience 🫶 The kimonos were so pretty with so many beautiful designs to choose from, and the makeup was soft, elegant, and done so nicely ✨ The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole process, which made everything feel comfortable and special. I truly felt so pretty and confident walking around Kyoto in my kimono 💕 Highly recommend!
Great experience! They were efficient and helpful. Lots of kimonos to choose from, especially if you upgrade. I knew ahead of time I’d probably want to upgrade once I got there, and it was worth it! I did the photography, as well, and the pictures came out so amazing!! Definitely recommend going here for kimono rental and photography!
the staffs were nice and gentle. They just gave us the best experience! the kimonos were all beautiful. Also the photographer made our photoshoot easier by giving us instructions on how to pose and he's very kind. It was the best!
The staff was very nice and did a good job! We booked for makeup, hair and kimono/yukata experience. We walked around Kyoto for 3 hours. Kimono was very comfortable, shoes not so much obviously. we could leave our bags there and put important stuff in bags they offered. Thank you for this experience!!
The staff can speak fluent Mandarin. There are many choices of kimonos, and the package also includes bags, socks, slippers and hairstyles. The auntie who puts on the kimono is very fast, and she will confirm with you whether it is suitable for your tightness. After putting on the kimono, she started to do the hairstyle. The Taiwanese lady who did my hairstyle was very considerate to check whether I wanted my hair to be up and let me choose hair accessories. There are also cosmetics to choose from in the store, which we can use to do our own makeup if we want. After doing this, you will be given a luggage bag to store your luggage. The kimono return time is before 6 pm, but I returned early because the weather was a bit hot. After changing into my own clothes, I found that the hairstyle was still intact after removing the hair accessories, which shows that his hairstyle is really amazing. I highly recommend this store. I will continue to rent kimonos from his store when I go to Kyoto next time.
Store speaks Japanese, Mandarin and English too. The staff, despite being on a tight schedule, are extremely accommodating and do not rush the kimono choosing process. The actually changing process is rapid yet quite comfortable. The hair was free with my lace set due to a promotion on Klook, which I was extremely grateful for! The lady tying my sash was a pro and did it so well! They gave us fresh new tabi socks for the sandals and we could either bin or keep the socks afterwards! The location is very near the temples and Gion streets! A short walk! They also had a bathroom in the facility which was nice! It was busy but I still felt heard. Will be going back next time!!
I had the best time walking around Kyoto in a kimono. Every staff member in the kimono shop was very enthusiastic. From the moment we entered the door, there were staff members checking the reservation order, and began to introduce kimonos to us, and then let us choose the kimono we like. If you can't choose, you can ask them to help you choose, or spend money to choose a more expensive style. I didn't pay the difference here. I picked a style I liked, and then they took me to the dressing room to change into the kimono. After I came out, they started to do my hair. The whole process was very smooth. Finally, I went out to choose accessories, bags/umbrellas, etc. The entrance is a tourist attraction. You can wear it until 17:00 in the evening and return it. The store closes at 18:00, as long as you arrive before 18:00. I am very happy to choose this kimono.
It was very nice experience! Good choice of kimono and for me even included hairstyle was nice. Tye service is great, girls are very friendly
At arrival it felt a bit rushed. They showed us other kimono options that cost extra, but I decided to stick with the one I originally picked. Once we chose our outfits, we went into the dressing room. There’s 8 hairstyles you can choose from. While we were changing, they opened the door and added another person into the same room without warning us. It’s not a big deal for me, but it could feel a little invasive for people who are more conservative, so just something to be aware of. You can rent the kimono until 5pm. They have a system for belongings. You’ll have a small decorative purse to carry essentials like your phone, cash, and lipstick for the day. When you return, they’ll bring you back to the dressing room and quickly help you unchange. Photographer was nice. Photos came out great! We walked about 5–10 minutes to different photo spots, and she sent us the pictures via Google Drive the next day.
First of all, the location is very good. It is near Yasaka Shrine. It is very convenient to go anywhere after taking the subway. Secondly, the store speaks Chinese, so there is no barrier to communication (for stores that do not speak Chinese, you need to guess what the other party is saying). I want to praise you most. The clothes are really very beautiful. We found the same model online and had to pay the price difference to upgrade. After upgrading, I felt that I really made the right choice, but even so, it was a great value. I have made other guides before. This set of fine silk at the kimono shop costs more than 40,000 yen. I saved a full 30% here. I am also very satisfied with the service in the store. The clerk will match me with various belts, and the hairstylist also does my hair very seriously. It took almost an hour (we didn’t put on makeup, so we did it ourselves. It is recommended to do it yourself to save money). Thank you to the clerk for the explanation. I will recommend it to my friends.
