【Excellent Value for Money】The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel PLAYT Buffet Brunch 🥂 Buy 2 Get 1 Free, only $450 per person for oysters, cooked dishes + free-flow sparkling wine! I recently visited PLAYT at The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel, for their weekend buffet brunch/dinner, and the overall experience was incredibly surprising. The variety of food was extensive, and replenishment was quick. The open kitchen design also added a lively atmosphere to the dining experience! 🍽️ Highlighted Food Recommendations: Chilled Seafood and Freshly Sliced Sashimi 🍣 The sashimi bar offered an impressive selection, with fresh red shrimp, salmon, and vinegared mackerel being particularly recommended for their delicious and tender texture. Limited-Time "Rich Wine, Fragrant Dishes" Father's Day Cooked Dishes 🥩 The quality of the cooked food section was truly remarkable! I especially recommend the pan-seared scallops with French champagne butter sauce, which had a rich buttery aroma, and the oxtail stewed in dark beer, which was incredibly flavorful and tender. Additionally, the roasted ribs from the carving station looked very appealing. International Specialties and Cold Cuts 🧀 The Indian and Southeast Asian hot dish section here was very authentic, with the Beef Rendang and curry served with naan bread being incredibly delicious. The cold cut section even featured a whole **Parma Ham** sliced on-site, paired with a selection of cheeses and crackers, making it perfect with drinks. Drinks and Free-flow Heaven 🍾 Besides refreshing handmade lemon tea and green apple soda in the drinks area, the most attractive feature was the neatly arranged free-flow sparkling wine/wine at the bar, which is definitely a favorite for wine lovers! 💰 Value for Money and Summary: I booked through Klook and enjoyed a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer, with the total cost for 3 people being HK$1,360 (approximately HK$453 per person). To find a hotel buffet of this quality, including free-flow alcohol, in the bustling heart of Causeway Bay, the value for money is simply outstanding. It's perfect for family gatherings or celebrations with friends! Taste Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5) Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Value for Money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) #HongKongFood #ParkLaneHotel #PLAYT #HotelBuffet #HongKongBuffet #WeekendGetaway #FoodRecommendation #TripMoments
It was a family member's birthday, and they had never been to this buffet before. I happened to see an offer and purchased it for less than 22% off the original price. The staff member who seated us was very polite. Regarding the food, the oysters were shucked fresh on the spot. Although some were a bit small, they were very fresh. Other seafood and sashimi were also very fresh. After eating these, plus the sashimi, I was already about 20% full. Delicious. The double-boiled soup is worth recommending; it's very refreshing, and I didn't feel thirsty after drinking it. There were so many varieties that I didn't even get to try some of them. The ice cream deserves special praise; the flavor was rich. The cakes and desserts weren't overly sweet and weren't cloying. Overall, the food quality was good, making this a highly recommended buffet.
What a pleasant surprise! We're seizing the last bit of summer vacation! Before the final two weeks before school starts, my wife, husband, and I took our daughter out for a buffet dinner! As a working-class family, we usually only eat at expensive buffet dinners for birthday celebrations. Haha 🤭 We saw that Klook had a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal (for 3 people) on Saturday nights, for about $1800! But as we ate, we kept saying it was worth it. After the meal, all three of us surprisingly agreed that it had a high-value! There were all-you-can-eat oysters (you have to queue), so I only took 2. There were also snow crab legs, crab claws, shrimp, different kinds of fresh sashimi, and a variety of fresh vegetable salads. For Chinese food, there was abalone, mushrooms, and goose webs, as well as stewed soup and Cantonese soup. There was also roasted meat and steamed dim sum. For Western food, there was pizza, mushroom soup, and you could also boil noodles, vegetables, and meatballs! For dessert, there were many durian desserts! But if I really had to criticize something, it would be that there weren't enough cakes and pastries! There wasn't all-you-can-drink freshly ground coffee (Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East provides it)! We had a happy Saturday night! Now we're already planning our next visit!
My family enjoyed lunch here yesterday, so I decided to try their afternoon tea today, as I love desserts. It's a public holiday on Monday, and the restaurant isn't full, which probably means no long queues for food, which is great. The sashimi is fresh and delicious. There are also five types of juice available. And four kinds of cheese, all tasty. There seems to be a good variety of food, as I only tried a little bit of each and was already full! Food was replenished promptly, and the waitstaff provided attentive service. The best part is the Gelato ice cream! 😋 I'll be back next month.
The Park Lane Hotel's buffet has always been of high quality. I've tried their dinner buffet before, and there were many choices and the quality was high. This time, I tried the afternoon tea buffet. Although there weren't as many options as the dinner buffet, for an afternoon tea buffet, it had chilled shrimp, mussels, clams, and sashimi including salmon, sea bream, amberjack, and octopus. There were also cold noodles, soup noodles, congee, pizza, and fried foods. Adding up the desserts, cakes, ice cream, and fruit, there were about a dozen options. There are also discounts available when purchasing through Klook. I can come again with my family next time.
I recently had a buffet dinner at PLAYT at The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel in Causeway Bay, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. From the ambiance and food to the service, everything was satisfying, making it one of the most value-for-money hotel buffets I've had recently. 🎭 Ambiance: A Vibrant 'Kitchen Theater' The restaurant's decor features a stylish, modern industrial design complemented by warm yellow lighting, creating a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. What captivated me most was the open kitchen concept, allowing diners to enjoy watching the chefs prepare dishes live, offering both a visual and culinary delight. 🦞 Must-Try Highlights: Seafood Feast and Signature Hot Dishes · Chilled Seafood: The star of the dinner! The lobster meat was firm and springy, with a delicious sweetness. The freshly shucked oysters were crisp with a briny ocean flavor. Although there's a limit of two oysters per person per visit, they were replenished quickly, ensuring that seafood cravings were fully satisfied. · Signature Hot Dishes: The pan-fried foie gras was rich and buttery. The braised abalone with shiitake mushrooms and duck feet was tender and flavorful. The Spanish suckling pig and American Angus bone-in ribeye were also popular choices. · Asian Flavors: Japanese sashimi (salmon, yellowtail, red shrimp, etc.) was fresh and succulent. There was also a wide selection of Thai raw shrimp, Indian curries, and more. 🍨 Dessert Highlights: A Unique Ice Cream Experience The dessert section was a delightful surprise! I highly recommend their homemade specialty ice creams. The Moutai flavor had a unique alcoholic aroma, and the durian flavor was incredibly rich (whether that's a good or bad thing is a matter of personal taste). Additionally, the chocolate fountain and various exquisite cakes were both visually appealing and delicious.
The Park Lane Hotel's afternoon tea buffet offers a 'buy two get one free' deal, which is excellent value! My family of nine celebrated my dad's birthday there. They had his favorite Teochew braised platter, pan-fried oyster cakes, salt and pepper pork chops, Shanghai fried noodles, and 'bowl' shark fin soup. There were also five sashimi options and various types of sushi. The seafood selection included shrimp, clams, mussels, and crayfish. For Western hot dishes, there were many choices, with durian pizza and durian cheese pasta being particularly unique. The children enjoyed the wide variety of desserts and cakes, and everyone finished with two scoops of ice cream, a perfect ending to the meal.
The dinner buffet offers a wide variety of food, and there's a voucher on the table to redeem for freshly prepared A Kee crab roe abalone crispy noodles, which are delicious. Tonight, there were also fresh American and Australian Findeclaire oysters shucked and served on the spot, very fresh. The char siu abalone honey ice cream is quite unique; this new flavor is definitely worth trying. The staff are very polite and clear plates quickly.
Each person receives a box of caviar, along with freshly shucked French Fine de Claire and Australian oysters. The salad bar offers many choices, and the sashimi is fresh. There's also free-flow red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine. After the meal, you can order coffee or tea. Highly recommended!
The afternoon tea buffet offers a diverse selection. Cold dishes include salami, Parma ham, various salads, and cheeses. For main courses, there are Chaozhou snacks like braised tofu, braised goose, pig blood, and pig intestines. Beef and shrimp siu mai, chicken feet, durian pastries, and pork skin with radish and fish balls bring back childhood memories. Seafood includes chilled shrimp and mussels. Unlimited servings of pineapple, grapefruit, apple, and orange juice are available, along with a complimentary meal tea. Finally, there is a wide variety of desserts, including macarons, assorted fruit jellies, cheesecakes, and several gelato flavors to enjoy. The environment is spacious and comfortable, the staff clears plates quickly, and the window offers views of the bustling Causeway Bay streetscape. It's an excellent value for money.
