An absolutely perfect buffet lunch experience! I highly recommend The Astor at Eaton HK ✨ I specifically came to The Astor for their buffet lunch, and the overall experience can only be described as "extremely satisfying." From the location and service to the food quality, everything completely exceeded my expectations! Excellent and Convenient Location 📍 The restaurant is located in Eaton HK, which is very convenient. It's just a short walk from the bus stop or MTR station, making it incredibly accessible. The restaurant's overall design is very distinctive, blending a nostalgic, retro cinematic feel with modern, stylish comfort. The moment you step inside, you feel relaxed and happy. Impeccable Staff Service 💯 I especially want to commend the service attitude of all the front-line staff that day! From the hosts seating guests, to the plate clearers, and the chefs at each food station, everyone was smiling, polite, and attentive. Plates were cleared very quickly and efficiently, never allowing empty dishes to pile up on the table. They were constantly attentive to guests' needs, making everyone feel truly welcome and well-cared for. Exceptionally High-Quality Seafood & Food 🦀 What impressed me most was the abundance and quality of the food! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and cold dishes like oysters and bread crabs were replenished extremely quickly; I never saw an empty platter. The hot food selection was diverse, and whether it was roasted beef, roasted lamb leg, flavorful cooked dishes, or delicate dim sum, the seasoning was perfect. You could really feel the dedication of the culinary team. The dessert section was the perfect ending, with a wide selection of ice cream and various exquisite mini cakes, all of which were on par with high-end dessert shops. In summary: The Astor demonstrates exceptionally high standards in terms of ambiance, service, and food, offering excellent value for money. This is definitely a dining experience that makes you want to return again. I highly recommend it to all friends who appreciate great food and excellent service!
Buffet night done right at The Astor, Eaton Hotel 🍽️✨ Honestly exceeded my expectations—from the wide variety of dishes to the freshness of the seafood 🦪🦀 everything was on point. Loved the oysters and crab legs (super fresh and constantly refilled!), and the hot food selection was just as impressive—great mix of Western and Asian options. The roast meats and made-to-order noodles were definite highlights 🤍 And of course, had to save room for desserts 🍰🍦 beautifully presented and not overly sweet—perfect ending to the meal. Service was attentive, the environment was comfortable, and overall it felt like amazing value for money 🙌 Definitely a spot I’d come back to again!
Birthday feast! 🎂🥰🥰 I saw a Klook offer and decided to try it, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The restaurant strategically places food stations in different corners, so guests don't have to crowd together to get food. This setup makes it convenient for various guests to choose their dishes. There's a wide selection of food, and besides the popular hot and cold dishes, my favorite and a standout feature is that the restaurant uses stainless steel bowls with ice to keep seafood fresh until it's eaten. 👍👍👍 The oysters were very fresh, and the king crab, bread crab, whelks, prawns, clams, and mussels were all very yummy! 😋 At 7:30, the kitchen prepares special dishes; each person gets two pieces of Peking duck, which were incredibly crispy and delicious. I also want to mention that upon entry, the restaurant provides each guest with a grilled lobster and a token to play the claw machine. It's fun and a chill dining experience! 😎
The food quality is excellent, especially the cold seafood, oysters, and sashimi, which are very fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Each person gets a cheese-baked lobster. The roast beef is tasty, and they rotate different cuts, plus there's beef Wellington. The Chinese hot dishes include Peking duck, steamed fish, and char siu, all delicious. During Christmas, each table gets a large chocolate ball dessert, accompanied by a small hammer to break it open, revealing a Santa Claus lemon pie 🎅🏻, full of ritual! The staff are attentive and courteous, even teaching us how to hold the dessert to take nice photos. I'm most afraid of being ripped off when eating out during holidays and the food not being good, but I'm very satisfied with the Christmas dinner at Eaton Hotel and will definitely come again next time.
The Astor offers an unparalleled buffet experience that masterfully blends nostalgic Hong Kong charm with a modern, vibrant atmosphere. What sets this establishment apart is its commitment to variety and quality across its seven distinct live cooking stations. From the premium sashimi to the expertly roasted meats, every dish reflects a high standard of culinary craftsmanship. The open-kitchen concept creates an engaging energy, allowing diners to witness the theatrical preparation of their meal. Beyond the savory selections, the dessert section is a true highlight, featuring an array of delicate pastries and inventive sweets that provide a perfect conclusion to the feast. The service is consistently attentive and welcoming, ensuring that the sprawling space feels intimate and well-managed.
This was my first time at The Peninsula's Felix Restaurant, and I felt the staff service was top-notch. Everyone was very polite and quick to clear plates. The seating was comfortable, and the food was great. The oysters were fresh and sufficiently chilled; because they were serving cold seafood, the sashimi was presented on a bed of ice to maintain the temperature, which enhanced the texture of the seafood and oysters. The lamb chops, one per person, were excellent, and the steak was also good. Among the roasted meats, the soy sauce chicken was the most delicious, with a subtle soy sauce fragrance. The roast duck and char siu were also good. There was a wide selection of ice cream, with seven or eight flavors. The old cucumber soup was delicious. In the middle of the meal, a bell rang, calling everyone to get black truffle pasta (truffles freshly shaved onto the pasta), which was very special. Overall, with the buy-one-get-one-free offer, it was excellent value for money and I would definitely come again!
This was our fourth time having a buffet at The Astor, and the theme was a Korean Food Party Night, with K-pop playing all evening! There were posters with Korean writing, and each person got one chance to play the traditional Korean game 'Ddakji' (paper flipping). If you succeeded, you even got a small gift! It was really hard, and both of us failed... There were also several light sticks from K-pop idol groups, creating a very Korean atmosphere! There were many Korean food and special drinks, such as fried chicken, pork belly wraps with lettuce, budae jjigae (army stew), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), kimchi dumplings, twisted donuts, bingsu (shaved ice), whiskey melon, and lemon soju soda. You could add your own toppings, white vinegar, mustard, and beef broth to recreate Korean cold noodles! Each person received one serving of crayfish and one portion of freshly grilled Korean beef sushi. The sushi was seared to a fragrant crisp on the outside while keeping the raw meat tender on the inside – absolutely delicious! It was a shame that each person only got one serving... Midway through, there was a limited-time offering of Peking duck from Yat Tung Heen, freshly carved and wrapped, which was quite tasty, though the duck meat ratio was a bit high. Overall, the buffet offered great value for money!
Many varieties of foods was served and special beverage for you to choose from the water bar area. Everyone can redeemed a miso sauce lobsters by showing their little cute lobster toy (shows on the picture) which distributed by the staff from the restaurant.
Restaurant ambiance: Has the charm of Hong Kong in the 1960s and 70s. Price: Reasonable, good value for money. Service: The staff are all very polite. Food taste: This time, the buffet theme was Southeast Asian, but the hot dishes lacked Southeast Asian characteristics. There wasn't even char kway teow, only baked potatoes, baked pumpkin, and spaghetti with meat sauce, which was a bit disappointing. There were only 3-4 dessert options, let alone any with Southeast Asian characteristics. However, Eaton Hotel's most famous "roasted meats" were still excellent; the soy sauce chicken was tender and smooth, and the char siu was caramelized and soft. 👍🏻👍🏻 The chilled seafood was plentiful and fresh. The sashimi was also very good.
Lucky to snag a buy-one-get-one-free deal! The restaurant's decor is styled like a "Cha Chaan Teng" (Hong Kong-style cafe), and there's a huge variety of food! The sashimi is fresh and sweet, the oysters are decent, and they even serve barbecued pork from a Michelin-recommended restaurant! It's incredibly delicious. They also bring out different dishes for us at random times, such as Peking duck, volcano cake, and freshly sliced smoked salmon! This added a lot of fun to the whole dinner experience, and the staff are also very proactive and quick in clearing away used tableware. I'll definitely visit again! P.S. Every customer received a serving of baked cheese lobster, and every table received a serving of sea urchin, which was very tasty.
