What to expect
【Nara Park】 The ancient city of Nara is famous for its historic “Nara Giant Buddha” and its vast historical park, including Todaiji Temple, a world cultural heritage site. In the Nara region, deer are regarded as messengers of the gods and are also recognized as national treasures. There are currently about 1,200 wild deer living in Nara Park. They usually move around freely in the park. When they see tourists with deer senbei in their hands, they will even take the initiative to get close to them and act coquettishly. They are very popular with tourists from all over the world.
【Rokko Snow Park】 It has a gentle slope area that is most suitable for beginners, as well as a snow basin and a dedicated snow field for playing in the snow, making it safe and fun to play in the snow. Snow suits and ski equipment can be rented, so you can come empty-handed! For your first snow trip, come to Rokko Mountain Ski Resort!

Reviews
Both our kids were really looking forward to Mount Rokko Snow Park, and it didn't disappoint—especially for our 9-year-old. We wanted to try skiing, but the lessons fill up quickly (I believe there are only two slots a day). Instead, we spent our time sledding down the hill—the sled rentals were included in this tour, by the way—and building a snowman. Even with just those activities, the time flew by and the kids had loads of fun. We visited Nara Park afterward. Although it was our second time there, we got to explore a different part of the park than before, so it was a fresh experience for us. It was great seeing the shrines and feeding the deer again.
this is my second time at mt.rokko and third time at nara park and it’s just as amazing as the first time. the tour guide was very friendly and helpful. had a great time skiing at mt.rokko and enjoyed roaming around nara park with the deers
This one-day tour of Mount Rokko and Nara with OrengeBus was great! The itinerary was meticulously planned and packed with activities, ensuring that my family and I had a lot of fun. I booked the package with transportation but without Mount Rokko tickets. Before meeting the tour leader, I was worried that not buying Mount Rokko tickets online beforehand would be a problem. However, it turned out to be a good thing I didn't buy them online, because the tour leader helped us purchase group tickets with the team. As a result, each person received a free snow sled. We also had free time to go to a restaurant for a bite to eat, take some photos around the area, and then decide when to play with the snow sleds. The tour leader gave each of us a snow sled voucher, so the whole family didn't have to be tied together and exchange the vouchers at the same time. It's very inconvenient to take photos while holding a snow sled. The other members of our group who purchased tickets online using QR codes had to do everything together as a family of eight, and they said they felt very restricted. I was so lucky that I asked the tour leader to help us purchase tickets, so we could enjoy more benefits. Thumbs up to the tour leader! Nara Park in the afternoon was also great. There were many tourists, and some places were sold out of deer crackers. The tour leader helped us find places where we could buy deer crackers and also introduced us to delicious local snacks. Thank you, tour leader Meggie, and thank you, OrengeBus! I will definitely join OrengeBus tours again in the future.
Very happy! There weren't many people at Rokko Snow Park that day. I wish we had more time. We played for a full four hours and skipped lunch to play some more. The deer in Nara are a bit mean; they bit our jackets as we walked by.
this is our first time taking tour trip along with young kids. is out of my expectation that the trip is really worth and convenience for tourist. our tour guide, Maggie(if I didn’t hear wrongly) was very helpful and friendly. we have a good time at Rokko and Nara. the kids enjoy a lot.
Participated 2 years ago, and the kids loved it. This time, we scheduled the ski trip in the morning so it would be warmer with the sun. Klook gave everyone a snow tubing ticket, and the kids had a great time! You can book ski lessons online at Rokkosan Snow Park, but when we tried to sign up on-site, they were fully booked.
Had an amazing experience! Nara Park was beautiful and peaceful, and the deer were so friendly. Mt. Rokko Snow Park was super fun — perfect for photos and playing in the snow. Our tour guide, Megan, was the best! She was organized, helpful, and very friendly. She made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Even if the weather was bad, it was still worth it. Thank you!
