What to expect

Night walks are a fantastic opportunity to see some critters who you don’t normally see. You will likely see many frogs, including White-lipped Tree Frogs, Northern stony creek frogs, Bi-colour tree frogs and Eastern dwarf tree frogs. There is a myriad of nocturnal insects including Crickets, Longicorn beetles and Katydids. You will also likely see the incredible net-casting spiders and huge Orb-weaver spiders. Depending on the season you may also see Striped possums, Speckled flying foxes, Papuan frogmouths and Micro bats.

This was an interesting tour if like like bugs. Our tour guide Ros was very informative and shared photos she had in the past. Saw Eastern Tube-nosed Bat (Nyctimene robinsoni) Bandicoot (Perameles sp.) and many spiders and insects.

We had a lovely time on the night walk overall. Howeve, due to the season (winter), there was not much to see other than tree frogs and spiders. The guide was good and quite knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the creatures she pointed out. She also provided pictures of the creatures she photographed during our walk. For the price, it was good, but I would recommend going during a different season to hopefully see more. Be sure to take mosquito repellant when you go.
