Hanaka Kimono Rental with Hairstyling in Asakusa

they speak little English but they are very welcoming and friendly, there is plus size kimono available for the bigger girls. there is many stylish and pretty kimono to choose and I got overwhelmed with the choosing and the store clerk was nice to assist me to find the kimono that suits me, the location is very near the station as well

the ladies working here were pretty great and quick! they’ll take care of you and will take pictures after as well. you just have to add 2200 yen each if you are bigger size like us lol

The place is near Asakusa station. The staff are accommodating and give suberb service. You can book the basic ones first then just pay extra at the rental shop if you want to upgrade your outfit. They took photos of us (attached) in front of the shop and sent these through Instagram.

This experience was absolutely phenomenal! The staff went absolutely above and beyond to make this experience memorable and enjoyable for us, and it ended up being one of our most favorite memories for this trip! They did so much to exceed our expectations, from the beautiful hairdressing and kimonos, to the photoshoot through Asakusa. We look forward to doing this again on our next Japan trip!

Our experience at Hanaka Kimono Rental in Asakusa, Tokyo, was unforgettable! My wife and I, along with our twin daughters, had a fantastic time choosing and dressing in beautiful traditional kimonos. The staff were incredibly helpful, guiding us through the process with ease. Walking through the streets of Asakusa, especially around Senso-ji Temple, in our kimonos felt magical, and we received so many compliments. The girls loved the experience, and we captured some amazing family photos. It was a unique way to immerse ourselves in Japanese culture, and we all enjoyed every moment of it!

First time renting kimono. The staff made it an easy and enjoyable experience. A short walk to Sensoji temple. We also had lunch nearby before we returned for our bags. They shared the photos they took on their phone through IG DM. Highly recommend this place. Very reasonable pricing.

Definitely do it here~ It's right in front of Asakusa Station, and it's so pretty even without additional fees, and the staff are so kind~ It was very convenient because there was someone who spoke Korean~ They also store luggage for free~ And most importantly, the price is very cheap~ I'm very satisfied~^^ The staff took a picture on the first floor and sent it to me and taught me how to pose~~

Since I was traveling alone, I didn't need a long one and wanted to have a light experience, so I booked a 2-hour plan! 2 hours was longer than I thought, and it was nice that they gave me 10-20 minutes for the return time ☺️ Also, I was able to use it more comfortably because there was a staff member who spoke Korean, and they clearly explained that additional fees may be incurred depending on the design/accessories/hair, and they dressed me up nicely even without me adding anything ❤️ Even though all the photos are of the basic design and basic hair, it's okay, right?! They also lent me a matching bag for free, so there was no problem with my luggage 👍 I took lots of photos and returned it on time! Thank you to the kind staff members who came out to greet me at the end ☺️ I'll go again next time I experience a kimono!

The service staff here should be patient and have a very good service attitude. If they encounter problems with guests, they will solve them to the satisfaction of the guests. They will take pictures of me when I put on my clothes, and will guide me to the entrance of Thunder Gate, and then come back to change my clothes. When I was putting on clothes, they would email me the photos they just took, but we couldn’t send them when we emailed your auntie. The service staff would find a way to send the photos to my phone. I’m very grateful to them. I highly recommend everyone to come to this store. The clothes here are great. Many and beautiful. Come on~

The staff were so sweet and kind. I had the perfect kimono and felt so pretty. it was also right next to the main spots to take pictures in Asakusa.
