What to expect
[Early Summer in May: Tulips x Shibazakura] Visit Takino Suzuran Hillside Park in the suburbs of Sapporo to admire 230,000 tulips in vibrant colors. Enjoy Mr. Mishima’s Shibazakura Garden in Niseko, where you can take in the spectacular view of shibazakura (moss phlox) at the foot of Mount Yotei.
[July: Head Buddha Hall x Lavender] Designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, the “Head Buddha Hall” offers a spectacular view in July during the lavender season, with 150,000 lavender plants blooming on the hills surrounding the Head Buddha. Please note that early June, early July, and August are not lavender season, so lavender cannot be viewed during these times.
[September: Autumn Colors of Niseko Shinsennuma] Located at an altitude of 765 meters, Niseko Shinsennuma is famous for its alpine plant communities. From September to October, you can enjoy a vast expanse of golden pampas grass.
[Option including lunch] At a restaurant at the foot of Mount Yotei in Niseko, enjoy a special and exquisite Afternoon Tea Set with savory items like sandwiches and French desserts made with fresh, seasonal Hokkaido ingredients, while overlooking a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view and the magnificent scenery of Mount Yotei. (*If it is not possible to arrange a visit to the above restaurant due to crowd conditions or other circumstances, it will be changed to a Western-style lunch featuring Hokkaido ingredients at a ranch restaurant at the foot of Mount Yotei in Niseko.)
[Option without lunch, free time to explore Niseko town and enjoy local cuisine] Self-funded Enjoy lunch freely in Niseko town, including Michelin-recommended ramen (the Niseko branch of Ajiraku Ramen, whose main store is on Rishiri Island, Hokkaido), Japanese udon, Western-style oven-baked pizza, exquisite dessert cafes, and more. After your meal, you can visit a large local supermarket in Hokkaido for shopping, local delicacies, special souvenirs, and miscellaneous goods.
Visit the beautiful Takahashi Farm at the foot of Mount Yotei in Niseko Indulge in fresh farm milk, ice cream, cheese tarts, cream puffs, and other desserts. If the weather is good, you can continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Yotei and the pastures.
