What to expect
Yamagami Dyeing Shop, with over 360 years of history, has dedicated itself solely to dyeing. We dye happi coats, hand towels, noren curtains, and more using traditional techniques. The shop building is designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property and is open for tours. We also offer plant dyeing experiences using locally produced Murakami tea. Reviews
An interesting experience using tea as dye colour. Very simple to do. Just need to colour the craft you have selected, wash/iron etc. The owner spent 5 min while the craft was being soaked and explained about the history of the house.
