- Kamikochi, the Hometown of the Gods Kamikochi, located in the Northern Alps on the border of Nagano and Gifu Prefectures, is known as the “Hometown of the Gods” and is one of Japan’s most representative high-mountain natural scenic areas. It is famous for the crystal-clear Azusa River, the iconic “Kappa Bridge,” and the magnificent peaks of the Hotaka Mountain Range and Mount Yake. With an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters, the climate is cool and pleasant, making it a popular summer retreat. In autumn, visitors can enjoy the vibrant red leaves and golden grasslands. The entire Kamikochi area is strictly protected, preserving its pristine forests, wetlands, and alpine streams, creating a pure landscape that feels like stepping into a living painting.
- Suwa Grand Shrine, Kamisha Honmiya Suwa Grand Shrine, Kamisha Honmiya, is one of Japan’s oldest shrines and a representative sacred site for mountain worship in the Shinshu region. With a history spanning over a thousand years, it enshrines deities related to nature and agriculture and has been revered by local residents and samurai since ancient times.
The shrine grounds feature traditional Japanese wooden shrine architecture and the massive “Onbashira” pillars, symbolizing Suwa’s faith. The solemn and tranquil atmosphere blends with the surrounding forest landscape, showcasing a rich sense of Japanese history and culture. The “Onbashira Festival,” held once every six years, is hailed as one of Japan’s three most unusual festivals, attracting many visitors. Strolling along the approach, one can experience the unique tranquility and sacred atmosphere of Shinshu, making it an important spot to experience Nagano’s history, culture, and traditional beliefs.
- Lake Suwa Lake Suwa is the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture and one of the representative natural landscapes of the Shinshu region. The lake’s surface is vast and serene, surrounded by mountains, displaying different charms with each season. Whether it’s the fresh greenery of spring and summer, the autumn foliage, or the winter snowscape, it possesses a unique allure.
Lake Suwa in Nagano Prefecture is also considered one of the prototypes for "Itomori Lake" in the popular animated film "Your Name." As a result, many travelers and anime enthusiasts come to visit. On clear days, one can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains reflected in the lake, experiencing the unique leisurely and healing atmosphere of Shinshu.

- Please arrive at the designated location 10 minutes in advance. To avoid delaying subsequent itineraries, no waiting will be provided for late arrivals.
- In case of inclement weather such as typhoons or blizzards, a decision on whether to cancel the tour will be made 1 day before departure (18:00 local time) and you will be notified via email.
- Vehicles will be dispatched according to the number of participants. For tours with a small number of participants, a driver who also serves as an attendant will provide full tour services, without an additional tour leader. You are free to explore the attractions upon arrival. Please be aware of this.
- The tour leader will not proactively contact travelers the day before departure. Travelers should go to the designated meeting point at the specified time on the day of departure and look for the LION TRAVEL sign to check in.
- Please gather punctually at the specified time and location. If a traveler fails to arrive at the agreed meeting point on time, it will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of their itinerary, and no refunds or compensation can be requested. Please be aware of this.
- The planned tour route and stopover times are for reference only and may be adjusted due to traffic conditions on the day, local activities, restaurant reservations, changes in attraction facility operating hours, etc. We appreciate your understanding.
- At each tourist attraction, depending on the weather conditions, it may not be possible to enjoy the complete scenery.
- All the above itineraries are estimated arrival times. Traffic conditions are beyond our control, so please avoid arranging activities for the evening of the same day. We apologize for any delays or other situations.
- Bus seats are one per person. Advance seat assignments cannot be accepted. Due to legal regulations, passengers must wear seat belts while the bus is in operation. Please cooperate.
- The arrival time at Matsumoto Station may vary depending on traffic conditions on the way to Nagano Station. Please be aware of this.
