Reviews
For those hesitant due to inconvenient transportation, this tour is highly recommended as it's incredibly convenient. The itinerary includes transportation from Nagoya to Kamikochi, one night's accommodation, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route ticket (Ogizawa-Tateyama), and return transportation from Tateyama to Nagoya. There's ample time allocated for hiking in Kamikochi; we chose an 8-kilometer hike and had plenty of time for lunch! Dinner is included with the overnight stay, and there's a large public hot spring bath to wash away the day's fatigue. On the second day, we also got to see the Snow Wall at the Snow Corridor, which was the highlight of Tateyama Kurobe! Our guide, Abu, was a man of few words, but everything he said was important and helpful advice. His service was excellent, and he drove very safely. Overall, the tour experience was fantastic.
Joined July9-10, 2026. Definetely a must see in Japan. Kind of pricey compared to other usual day trips in Japan but honestly it was worth it. It was a 2-day tour covered the basic hike in Kamikochi. Do it if you can walk for 2hours straight. Spent the night at a ryokan-style hotel with buffer dinner and breakfast. We had unlimited snow crabs for dinner which was amazing. 2nd day was well spent in Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Less hike compared to Kamikochi since you'll be riding the different modes of transportation from Nagano to Toyoma. I must commend our tour guide Yukino, she was definetely awesome. Always informing everyone beforehand what to expect on every stops. Very patient and kind to the whole group too. I forgot our driver's name. He was also very careful and mindful driver.
I've participated in other one-day tours in Japan before, but there's no comparison without a benchmark. This time, our tour leader, Xiao Yu (Yukino), truly exceeded expectations. Giving her 101 points wouldn't be an exaggeration! I want to sincerely thank our tour leader, Xiao Yu (Yukino), and our driver, Mr. Sun. Both were incredibly responsible, polite, and meticulous in their work. Throughout the trip, Xiao Yu (Yukino) thoughtfully sent us reminders via messaging apps about various important details, such as things to note, meeting times, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Everything was perfectly organized, making us feel very secure and allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. What's even more commendable is that Xiao Yu (Yukino) proactively offered to take photos for the group members! Not every tour leader does this, and it was a huge bonus! Driver Mr. Sun also drove very smoothly and safely, and his demeanor was very friendly. Additionally, I must mention that the fellow travelers on this tour were of very high quality; everyone was incredibly punctual and polite, making the entire trip exceptionally smooth. An impeccable professional team, combined with excellent fellow travelers, created a top-quality travel experience. If you're planning to book a two-day tour to Tateyama Kurobe and Kamikochi, choosing this tour is definitely the right decision!
I joined the tour from 21/6 to 22/6. My tour guide was 小晴 and driver was 荒川. It can get quite crowded and chaotic when going up Tateyama but thanks to 小晴, it was a organised one. She provided clear instructions on the time and place to meet. She also shared those information via WeChat with us. Special thanks to our driver too, who was always helpful and courteous to all of us, thanks for keeping us safe and sound throughout the trip! As for the tour, Kamikochi offered a really nice and easy hike in the nature while Tateyama offered majestic views. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who has a few days to spare in Nagoya!
Our guide, Kris, was very thoughtful. Since most of the group was Chinese, he took extra care to ensure everyone could follow along smoothly and even offered to take photos for us. The hotel accommodation was good, and we loved the buffet breakfast and dinner. Kris also gave us ample time at each station so we could really enjoy ourselves. There was some waiting time at each station, but that was not a problem at all.
The biggest advantage was convenience. The schedule and transfers would be a hassle to arrange on your own, so this package made everything much easier. The guide was okay and did her job. Overall, I’d recommend this tour if you want a hassle free way to discover Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe.
Itinerary: This 2-day trip to Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe was an amazing experience! The mountain and lake scenery of the Northern Alps is breathtaking, and the pace of the itinerary was just right. Tour Guide: Our guide was Liu Mei, who was professional, attentive, and very familiar with the attractions and transportation along the way. Her commentary was engaging and interesting, she constantly reminded us of safety precautions, and she was enthusiastic about helping everyone take photos. She thoughtfully took care of all group members throughout the trip and handled matters reliably, making the journey hassle-free and comfortable. Highly recommended!
Participating in the Kurobe Tateyama tour from 10/7 to 10/8 and being led by Mr. Wang Yuan, who serves as both driver and tour guide, was a wonderful experience. His driving skills are excellent so no motion sickness occurred, making it very easy to sleep, and the meeting times and explanations for each scenic spot were very clear. Thank you for making our trip go so smoothly, and we hope to participate in similar tours again in the future if given the chance!
I wanted to visit Kamikochi and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, but researching the transportation and accommodations was too much trouble, so I booked a tour. Thank you so much to the driver and guide team for this trip. Despite the complex itinerary, everything was well-organized. Although the weather was a bit disappointing, our guide, Liu Mei, did her absolute best to make the experience better for everyone. She made sure we got to Murodo during a rain-free window and kept us updated when the rain stopped, which was very thoughtful. The hotel in between was also better than I expected. All in all, it was a satisfying experience.
Participating in this two-day, one-night tour was a great experience. Many thanks to our tour guide, Liu Mei! She managed the time and pace at each stop perfectly, ensuring everyone had a wonderful time.
