Kyoto: Tango Railway Sea Train & Amanohashidate & Ine Boathouse Cruise Day Trip (From Osaka)

I got lost and arrived a bit late, but the tour leader contacted me and kindly waited for me, which I really appreciated. He was very friendly and energetic, spoke four languages, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He also recommended some great restaurants and local dishes. I went solo, but no worries—I got to meet other solo travelers too, which made it really fun. It became a really nice memory for me. ✨

Overall, it was a very satisfying package tour. Although the long travel times made it a bit tiring, our guide, 'Sim Man-pyeong,' was great at keeping us entertained with conversation and explanations. He was proficient in four languages (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English), but I especially appreciated his humorous Korean commentary and his restaurant recommendations at the end! I'm so grateful. The scenery was incredibly beautiful, beyond words. I had wanted to see the Japanese countryside, and it was exactly as I imagined. I couldn't capture it all in photos, so I'll keep it in my memory forever.

This was a very satisfying trip! I especially want to thank our guide, Huahua, who accompanied us throughout the journey and helped us take many beautiful photos. Their photography skills are truly excellent! A special mention: while taking photos on the mountain, my instant camera battery died. Huahua went down the mountain, found the battery I needed at a convenience store, contacted me via WeChat to confirm the model, and brought it back for me, saving me so much time! I'm incredibly grateful! Also, when we were chatting at the station, I mentioned collecting stamps, and Huahua quietly remembered it. Afterward, they thoughtfully reminded everyone at every location where stamps were available! Today was truly enjoyable, and the weather even cleared up in the afternoon. The only minor drawback was getting pooped on by a seagull... I highly recommend this company's day tour!

HuaHua was so nice! and he was so knowledgeable about the tour, he was able to answer any questions we had right away! my baby brother is special needs and he made sure to find the handicap accessible routes for him, and he even sang our tour group a thank you and goodbye song! HuaHua made sure we all had a great time!

The tour all in all was good. The time alloted for each location a bit too short though. We would’ve wanted to stay a bit longer to take in the view and enjoy the area. The tour was was very on time and there were not delays. Our tour guide HuaHua was excellent, kind and accommodating.

Hua-Hua is a very good guide who give detailed information on the respective locations and the honest advice on the must-see and F&B at these locations. He also actively helps to take photos or videos for the tourists in his group and gives time-saving tips. We enjoyed our trip to Amanohashidate and Ine Bay with him as our guide.

(1) Itinerary 1: The Tango Railway Sea Train offers a charming experience with its old-fashioned train cars. The scenery along the way is a delightful mix of mountains and seascapes. The retro interior of the carriages was a great treat for someone who loves nostalgic ambiance like me 😎. Our guide, Joe, provided clear explanations of the itinerary and helped us understand the local culture and history. (2) Itinerary 2: Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three most scenic views. The cable car ride up the mountain was very comfortable, and the views from the top were stunning. However, be sure to bring an umbrella as it can get very hot in the summer, making the viewing experience more pleasant 😁. The guide also helped everyone take photos along the way, capturing memorable moments of the trip. (3) Itinerary 3: Ine no Funaya (boat houses). Viewing the boat houses from the sea was enjoyable. The sea was calm, making the boat ride very comfortable and not causing any dizziness. The seagull feeding experience was also a lot of fun. The boat also has an indoor cabin with air conditioning, so you don't have to worry about the temperature being too high. The scenery you can capture on the boat includes the boat houses and seagulls; please refer to the attached photos. A major highlight is that after the boat trip, you can also walk around the boat houses and quietly admire the old boat houses that have been preserved for many years. Conclusion: The meeting point for the trip was easy to find, and the time spent at each attraction was just right. There were also many restaurants to choose from at the lunch stop (Amanohashidate). I highly recommend this trip to travelers who enjoy scenic views and want to take a walk in the countryside. Our guide, Joe, provided interesting explanations, and the driver had excellent driving skills. I felt like sleeping as soon as I got on the bus 😴, allowing me to rest well. But remember to go to bed early the day before the trip so you can make the 7:20 AM departure from Dotonbori's Kani Doraku East Store.

Our tour guide, Batu, was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly patient with his explanations throughout the entire trip. He even managed to get us tickets for the first group on the mini-train, so everyone had a seat. We were all super happy and satisfied with the whole itinerary. The best part was that after the tour, because the four of us had luggage, Batu went out of his way to drop us off right next to Namba subway station, saving us a long walk! He's truly an amazing person!! I'd love to do another day trip with Batu in the future. The company should really reward him—he's the best day-trip guide I've ever had. I recorded so many beautiful sights, but since I can't upload videos, I'll just share a few photos.

Just a few days before departure, we were informed that the Sea Train trip was canceled. Easy Go Travel Agency was very sincere in finding ways to compensate us and adjust the itinerary! Although it was a bit disappointing, we were still very satisfied with just visiting Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya. We were the first to arrive at Amanohashidate, and we were thrilled to ride both the chairlift and the sky bicycle! Our guide, Yujin, was also very dedicated in sharing information and providing explanations; translating into three languages simultaneously is not easy! We also want to thank the foreign guide from the same travel agency who helped us catch the tour bus when we were late due to subway issues.

This time, our director was Xiao Gao! He explained the day's itinerary before the trip, which helped us understand everything better. During the process... we all enjoyed the journey and relaxed! To quote Xiao Gao... today was really worth the ticket price. We took a train to Amanohashidate and also rode the cable car there. If you're not afraid, I highly recommend riding the single-person cable car – the scenery is beautiful! Afterwards, we took a boat to feed the seagulls... but here's a suggestion: you might need to wear gloves when feeding them shrimp crackers, because quite a few eagles 🦅 come to snatch them! Some people's hands got hurt ☹️... The weather was pretty good! It was great not having to worry about transportation myself... a lazy person's itinerary... and once again, kudos to Xiao Gao... simply awesome!
