Reviews
We booked a table through Klook for the semi-buffet dinner at the Lobby Café in Hopewell Hotel, Wan Chai. The restaurant has a stylish decor, and the tables are well-spaced. The food selection was appropriate; that evening, the seafood included crab legs, shrimp, and mussels, along with roast beef, Western soup (cream soup), Chinese soup (lotus root and pork hock soup), poached chicken, sushi, Parma ham, cheese, pork siu mai, and crab meat salad. The salad greens were very fresh. Desserts included Movenpick ice cream, chocolate bread pudding, and chocolate soufflé, all of which were delicious. Food was refilled quickly. If you inform the restaurant in advance for a birthday celebration, you can receive a complimentary dessert and a personalized message. The restaurant has a clean and comfortable environment with spacious table arrangements, preventing overcrowding and ensuring privacy from neighboring diners, which is excellent. Although it's a semi-buffet dinner, the buffet area offers a sufficient variety of food choices. The inclusion of crab legs in the cold dish selection is a highlight. The crab legs and shrimp are fresh and flavorful, which is great 👍🏻 The salad bar has a wide variety of options and tastes great. If you enjoy salads, this restaurant is worth visiting. The Western and Chinese soups are served at a hot temperature, which is very good, but the bread rolls are hard, dry, and not fluffy, which is disappointing. There is a small selection of Chinese dim sum and hot dishes. The dessert area only had one fruit cake initially, and it wasn't refilled with the same item, but replaced with something else. There are many dessert choices, including Movenpick ice cream, fresh fruit, a freshly ground coffee machine, iced tea, and Twinings tea bags. You can add main courses for an extra charge. It's optional to add a main course, but even without it, my friends and I were already full. In conclusion, this is a great choice for light eaters and those who enjoy salads and fruits. The salad selection is diverse, and the taste of most of the food is delicious, making it a satisfying dinner 👍🏻
See most diners post out, seems to have very few colors, but walked around that this price has so many models is good, Chinese dim sum has 3: Yi Siu Bao, Mala cake and Siu Mai taste very good, very tasty Hot plate: jade melon fried beef fillet, year couple stewed pork, Thai shrimp cake, fried chicken pieces are Ok , crab legs too salty, frozen snails big and delicious There are several sushi bread salad fresh, sugar: Chan pi red bean paste is not sweet up the sand is right, coconut sago soup is super good, cookies are very crispy and have added new models, fruit watermelon, honeydew melon is also very good There are 4 choices, drinks have self-service coffee machine, lemon tea lemon water milk tea make your own environment is good, the price is cheap, will meet friends again.
The restaurant boasts a clean and comfortable environment, with spacious table arrangements that prevent overcrowding and minimize eavesdropping on neighboring conversations - a definite plus. While the semi-buffet dinner doesn't offer an overwhelmingly extensive selection, the food quality is decent and acceptable for the price point. The inclusion of crab legs in the cold dish section is a definite selling point, with both the crab legs and shrimp offering freshness and good flavor. The salad bar offers a wide variety of choices. Food is constantly refilled, and there's even Movenpick ice cream available.
It's advertised as a semi-buffet dinner, and the food selection really isn't huge. But they have crab legs, salad, cheese, and desserts, which are all things I enjoy, and they were all delicious. The soup was nice and hot, and there was a good variety of bread. There were a few small pieces of crab shell in the crab salad, so be careful when eating it. Since it was my friend's birthday, we asked the restaurant for a dessert plate for photos, and it looked great in the pictures. However, I initially tried calling to inquire, but no one answered after several attempts. I ended up sending an email that day at noon, and surprisingly, they replied in less than an hour and asked what message I wanted written. So if you're celebrating a friend's birthday, emailing them directly is faster and more convenient.
Enjoyed a semi-buffet lunch at the Hopewell Hotel's 19th floor for the first time, and it was a pleasant surprise. The semi-buffet lunch had a wide variety of food, courteous service, a clean and comfortable environment, and spacious seating. Booked through Klook and received a discount, plus each guest received a complimentary braised abalone fried rice (though you couldn't choose rice or noodles). The semi-buffet lunch was already very rich and filling. Highly recommend the Chinese stew and cheesecake, both of which were very high quality. The food was fresh and delicious, definitely worth an encore!
Service: The staff provides excellent service, paying attention to many details. For example, they patiently answer guest inquiries, promptly move out of the way when guests are taking pictures of food, clear plates at appropriate times, and do not rush customers. Food Taste: The food selection is diverse and creative. There are several salmon preparations. The salads are outstanding, with the crab salad and egg salad being especially recommended. There is also red kale, which is less common in other restaurants, showing great care in the ingredients. The desserts are high quality, especially the black forest cake. Price: Worth the price. The food is constantly refilled, with ample supply, so no one is rushing or queuing. Restaurant Environment: The restaurant environment is clean and spacious.
The food, ambiance, and service are all truly excellent, especially the crab meat salad and the long crab legs. The salad is very substantial and tastes wonderful, while the crab legs are perfectly defrosted, with firm, stringy crab meat that's meaty and, most importantly, not salty—absolutely top-notch. The desserts are also outstanding, especially the freshly made crepes, which are fantastic with ice cream. Plus, if it's a friend's birthday, you can let the restaurant know to blow out candles and eat cake, haha! 🤣
Although it's a semi-buffet (without a main course), it would be better to revert to a full buffet and not list main courses. Most people wouldn't intentionally order them anyway. Raising the price by around $100 per person and adding more variety would be much better! The food quality is also high, and the seating is comfortable. The only downside is that the hotel window view isn't particularly special. Offering different dishes compared to other hotels would allow each hotel in Hong Kong to have its own signature dishes, attracting more tourists.
