What to expect
🌸One-Day Secret Tour of Japan's Three Scenic Views|Ine Bay, Amanohashidate, Miyama Thatched Village
Still wondering where to go in the Kyoto suburbs? Join our EASY GO tour to discover Amanohashidate, one of "Japan's Three Scenic Views," Ine Bay, a seaside village known as "Japan's Venice," and Miyama Thatched Village, a fairytale-like world—three completely different yet stunning landscapes, all condensed into one day, promising a journey full of surprises.
🚢 Ine Bay Cruise|Sailing to a Tranquil Seaside Village As the boat slowly enters Ine Bay, you’ll see over two hundred “funaya” (boat houses) built along the sea. With the first floor serving as a boathouse and the second as a residence, this unique architecture creates a fishing village scene found nowhere else in Japan. The sea breeze, the sound of waves, and the old wooden houses intertwine to form a quiet yet unforgettable picture.
🐉 Amanohashidate|A Dragon Soaring to Heaven, a Breathtaking Spectacle Ascend to the “View Land Observation Deck” on Monju Mountain, and the sandbar before your eyes will appear like a dragon soaring into the sky—this is the world-renowned “Hiryu-kan” (Flying Dragon View) of Amanohashidate. Don’t forget to experience the classic “matanozoki” (viewing between your legs); when seen upside down, the world instantly flips, making the scene even more stunning! If you have extra energy, visit Chion-ji Temple to draw a fan-shaped fortune slip, taste a wisdom cake, and admire the magical “Kaisenkyo” (Rotating Bridge) that automatically rotates 90 degrees for passing boats. There’s something interesting at every turn. (This period includes free lunch time, where you can choose your favorite Japanese restaurant nearby to enjoy local delicacies)
🏘️ Miyama Thatched Village|Step into a Miyazaki-esque Utopia Walk along the country roads into this century-old thatched village, where residents still live today. Red post boxes, lush green rice paddies, and towering thatched roofs—every corner feels like a scene from a fairytale book. Each season offers a different charm: vibrant greenery in spring and summer, golden rice in autumn, and a snow-covered fairytale town in winter. Don’t forget to try the local Miyama milk soft-serve ice cream; its rich flavor will bring a sweet end to your journey.
📍 Friendly Reminder This itinerary involves a longer travel distance, so it’s recommended to take short breaks to rest and conserve your energy for the beautiful scenery ahead.

Reviews
This tour was fantastic. Great value for money. We never would have seen these great places on our own. Our guide Joe was the best. He was very informative and made sure we enjoyed our day to the fullest. Lovely man. Highly recommend this tour company.
This time we chose to go to Amanohashidate and Miyama thatched roof village. We didn't go to Ine, in exchange for more visiting time. Therefore, the whole trip won't be too rushed, and we can enjoy the scenery. In the morning, we went to Amanohashidate, Kyoto by the Sea, and the scenery was very beautiful. We brought some bread ourselves to save time for lunch. (This way we have two hours to play, we can take the cable car, go down the mountain to play on the sandbar, and visit Chionji Temple) Playing on the lake at noon was very fun. It was the first time to see seagulls and eagles 🦅 so close. In the afternoon, we arrived at Miyama, Kyoto in the Mountains. We had one hour to visit the thatched roof village, which is as quiet and beautiful as a fairytale village. In addition, the tour guide, Hua Hua, was very kind, and diligently introduced the attractions, and enthusiastically helped us take pictures and reminded us of details. When we got off the bus in Osaka, he also kindly told us where to take the train with an elevator, which was more convenient. I highly recommend this trip and the tour guide, Hua Hua.
recently had the pleasure of visiting Amanohashidate, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The scenery was breathtaking — from the tranquil coastline to the iconic sandbar stretching across the bay, every viewpoint felt like a postcard. The atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing, making it a perfect getaway to enjoy nature and relax. A special thank-you to our wonderful tour guide (Joe) for the warm guidance throughout the trip. His clear explanations, helpful tips, and thoughtful arrangements made the entire visit smooth, enjoyable, and meaningful. I truly appreciate the effort in sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Amanohashidate with us. I highly recommend a visit to Amanohashidate — and even more so with such an excellent guide leading the way.
This tour was truly worth it and very well organized! We got to visit all the highlight spots — taking a boat ride to see the fishing village, going up the mountain for a beautiful panoramic view, and exploring the charming Miyama Thatched Village. The itinerary was well-planned, and the time at each stop was just right — not too rushed, not too long. One small tip for future travelers: when you go up to Amanohashidate, make sure to allow some extra time for lunch since there are only a few restaurants available there. Overall, it was a great and memorable experience that I would definitely recommend! Also tour guide is great, I cannot remember his name. He was very helpful.
Our group had 11 people, so we were assigned what looked like a 10-seater vehicle. However, my family of four was placed in the very back row (the area for luggage, but with chairs set up for seating). Because the journey was long, the seats were uncomfortable, and we ended up with sore backs and discomfort throughout the day. This was not okay. The itinerary involved visiting three locations in one day, with long travel times. We only had 30 minutes at Miyama, and I suggest removing it from the itinerary as the quality of the visit was poor. Ine no Funaya and Amanohashidate were excellent and well worth the visit. Our tour guide, Mr. Sun, was very knowledgeable, even explaining the history and geography, and he also helped us take great photos!
Many thanks to our Easy Go tour leader, Huahua, for her professional, enthusiastic, and meticulous full-全程 guided tour and explanations. She shared insights into the unique cuisine and local customs of each attraction. Most of all, we are grateful that Huahua patiently took turns helping everyone capture classic beautiful photos at each scenic spot. During our breaks, she serenaded us with beautiful songs and shared humorous travel anecdotes, ensuring that our hot day out was filled with continuous joy. Finally, we thank our angelic tour leader, Huahua, for guiding us through mountains and seas to explore the beautiful scenery of Ine Bay and Amanohashidate. The boat ride to feed the seagulls and the personal chairlift up and down the mountain were particularly rare and enjoyable experiences. Ending our day by stepping into the beautiful, fairytale-like Miyama thatched village left us with deep and wonderful memories of today's journey.❤️❤️❤️
Our guide Mr Joe was incredibly friendly and kind. I love the itinerary so much where we were guided on transportation without worries, also given self guided time to walk freely. Worth the value and highly recommended for a stress-free traveling day.
Great value for money! Since it was self-guided, we loved having the flexibility to manage our own pace without feeling rushed. Our driver/guide, Tom, was incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended if you want a stress-free day!
We had a wonderful trip on June 21st. Our tour guide, Mr. Lai, was very professional and diligently explained every attraction. He also provided additional information about other famous sights and Kyoto's culture. The passengers were all very punctual, which was great! I would also like to suggest to the person who plans the itineraries for this company that Ine is truly beautiful, but the stopover time was too short. I hope more time can be allocated for Ine in future plans.
Worth recommending! Since the scenic spots are far away and the transportation is inconvenient, you don't need to worry about the transportation problem when participating in this tour, you just need to relax and visit. It's fun to feed seagulls and uninvited guests-eagles in the boat house, and the boat house is also a major feature; Amanohashidate has beautiful scenery and is one of the three major scenic spots in Japan; Miyama Gassho Village is also worth visiting. The tour guide Xiao Gao is very good at introducing and the time is well controlled.
