〇Majestic Scenery Enjoy a front-row seat to the untouched beauty of the Shiretoko Peninsula, a World Heritage site. Take in the dynamic cliffs and majestic landscapes that can only be fully appreciated from the sea.
〇Unique Wildlife Ecosystem Shiretoko is a paradise for wildlife. Look out for brown bears and Yezo sika deer roaming the coastline, or white-tailed eagles and Steller’s sea eagles soaring in the sky above this unique ecosystem.
〇Thrilling Marine Encounters Feel the vibrant life of the ocean as you spot dolphins and seals swimming in the waves, or seabird colonies resting on rocky outcroppings.
What to expect
If you're lucky enough, you might just spot some adorable little dolphins out at sea!
The Shiretoko Peninsula is also a paradise for wildlife. Birds and mammals—such as brown bears, Yezo sika deer, Ezo red foxes, white-tailed eagles, Steller's sea eagles, and Blakiston's fish owls—have built a unique ecosystem here. The surrounding seas are inhabited by seals and dolphins, while colonies of slaty-backed gulls, black-tailed gulls, and Japanese cormorants can be found scattered across the rocky outcroppings. If you are lucky, you might just encounter these animals while taking in the majestic scenery.

Good to know
Q. Can I livestream on social media? A. To avoid disturbing other guests and protect their privacy, we do not allow livestreaming by individual guests for monetization purposes. Q: Do the cruises operate in the rain? A: We base our operational decisions on wave height, wind speed, and visibility. If rain causes visibility to drop below our safety standards, the cruise will be canceled. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be issued online. Please note that using an umbrella while sailing is extremely dangerous, so we kindly ask that you prepare waterproof and warm clothing in advance. Q: Will we be able to see wildlife? A: Because these are wild animals, we cannot guarantee sightings during the cruise. However, if you are lucky, you might spot brown bears or dolphins, and on very rare occasions, even whales may appear. We highly recommend bringing a pair of binoculars to get the best possible view of the animals! Q: What should I wear on board? A: Both our large and small vessels have fully air-conditioned indoor cabins, but the outdoor decks offer no protection from the wind, rain, or cold. The ocean breeze can make it feel chilly out on the water even in the summer, let alone in early spring or autumn. Depending on sea conditions, you may also be splashed by waves. We strongly recommend wearing windproof and waterproof outdoor clothing. ● Please complete boarding procedures approximately 20 minutes before departure.

Nice tour! I was able to see the drift ices, very good experience! Would recommend friends to try it.
Take a boat out to sea! Admire the drift ice! The drift ice is truly beautiful and magnificent❤️❤️❤️, everything is so wonderful, it's a pity it's only an hour round trip, not nearly enough time to see it all, be sure to grab a good spot (next to the boat) to take pictures! 😊😊😊
Saw drift ice, the drift ice looked very icy, it's a gregarious animal, it drifts around. The weather is very cold, so I suggest the drift ice boat should have heating on the deck, and it would be more suitable to come in the summer.
Location: You can take a bus or walk from JR, the bus stop is in front of the ferry terminal building; there is also a parking lot, and the navigation is clear and convenient. Experience: The boat is very stable, there are plenty of seats, and there are also outlets; you can also go to the left and right sides of the hull and the upper deck, which is a great experience.
A very novel experience!!!!
I was on the 9:30 AM flight on March 6th, and I was very lucky because there was a lot of drift ice that day, and the visibility was quite clear, making for a great experience! However, the ride was a bit too short. Overall, it was still a very memorable experience.
We departed smoothly and on time, with excellent service. We saw a lot of drift ice, which was spectacular. It's a shame we didn't see any seals, but be careful of the birds overhead.
The 11:00 AM ferry on January 25th. The store directly refunded 1,000 yen in cash before departure because there was no drift ice.
When I went on Sunday, there was a long line and it was quite crowded. We also had to pay an additional 500 yen per person for a seat on the boat because there weren't enough. Seeing the ice was very impressive.
We booked several months in advance, and luckily, when we couldn't book directly on the official website, we found tickets on KLOOK. However, with natural phenomena like this, luck plays a huge part. It just so happened that the days before and after our arrival were warmer, so our long-awaited "ice-breaking tour" turned into a "sea cruise" 😅. Nevertheless, when we exchanged our tickets at the booking counter that day, the boat company staff honestly informed us: "There's no ice on the sea today, so you can choose a full refund or a 2000 JPY/person refund for a pure sightseeing cruise..." Since we had already traveled all this way, of course, we decided to take the boat trip. Hopefully, we'll have better luck next time! 😅😉
