What to expect
A one-day tour route starting from Hakata Station, gathering the sunny coast, waterfalls, water towns, and shrines all at once, making the whole journey easy and comfortable!
🌅 Itoshima Meoto Iwa & White Torii Gate I was amazed at the first stop! A pure white torii gate in the sea + two giant rocks connected by a shimenawa rope, symbolizing the protection of marriage. At low tide, you can walk to the foot of the torii gate to take photos, and the seawater is as clear as a jelly sea. It is recommended to check the tide times; in the evening, you can also see the sunset falling between the Meoto Iwa rocks, so romantic you’ll want to get married on the spot!
🌴 Internet-famous Coconut Tree Swing A wooden swing facing the sea is hung between two coconut trees. When you sit on it and your feet leave the ground, the sea breeze blows, and the blue sky and sea become your backdrop. A casual shot makes for a perfect vacation photo, a guaranteed hit on Xiaohongshu!
💦 Shiraito Falls The “natural forest air conditioner” hidden in the mountains! The 24-meter waterfall flows down like fine white silk threads, and the mist is super refreshing. In summer, you can also experience nagashi somen (flowing noodles), eating while listening to the gurgling water.
🍜 Ichiran Ramen Lunch How can you come to Fukuoka and not eat Ichiran! The rich tonkotsu broth + springy thin noodles, one bowl instantly recharges your energy. The independent “flavor concentration” seats are super ceremonial, so you won’t feel awkward eating alone~
🚣 Yanagawa River Cruise Known as the “Venice of Kyushu”! Take a traditional wooden boat slowly along the moat, with weeping willows and ancient houses reflecting on both banks. The boatman will also sing boat songs, making it so pleasant it feels like traveling back to the Edo period!
⛩️ Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine The last stop is to pay respects to the god of learning, which is super effective for academic and career success! The Umegae Mochi on Omotesando is a must-eat, and the Starbucks designed by Kengo Kuma is also worth checking out~ ⚠️ Travel Notice August 8th – August 16th is the peak travel season for Japan’s Obon Festival, which may lead to traffic congestion, large crowds, attractions closing early, or changes in itinerary times. Please do not book dinner, flights, or Shinkansen for the same day, and it is recommended to bring a power bank. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Reviews
First, our tour guide, Xiao Min, was incredibly attentive and responsible, making every effort to care for each guest. When it rained, we were worried about the slippery steps leading to the torii gate for photos. Xiao Min noticed this and immediately guided us, personally leading us back to an easier, alternative route. She was very proactive and never lazy. Another point worth commending is that she saw a couple in our group monopolizing a scenic spot for a long time, causing a long queue. Xiao Min proactively urged them to move along, ensuring everyone had a chance to take photos. Regarding the itinerary: three aspects of the tour were quite disappointing. 1 - Lunch was too early. We had just finished breakfast at 8 AM, and then by 10:30-11:00 AM, we were at Ichiran eating again. Moreover, the time spent at Ichiran was too long, and there wasn't much to explore. 2 - Yanagawa: The boatman was excellent and created a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, the rain was very heavy at the time. Driving 1.5 hours to get there was not worth it. I suggest that the itinerary should be adjusted based on the rain conditions, rather than just whether the boat company is willing to operate. 3 - The stop at Dazaifu was only exactly 1 hour. This included getting off the bus, using the restroom, buying Umegae Mochi, browsing 2-3 small shops, and then returning to the bus. Since we were traveling with parents and couldn't walk quickly, there simply wasn't enough time to walk into the temple. Fearing we wouldn't make it back in time, we turned around at the end of the street and didn't dare go further. Dazaifu actually has coffee shops and small stores, and I personally believe 1.5-2 hours should be allocated, especially since 30 minutes were set aside earlier just to photograph a torii gate. 60 minutes for the entire Dazaifu visit is simply too short.
I enjoyed very much for this trip. We covered 6 places in a day. Thank to our guide Carson, when we arrived at most of the place, we don’t need to queue and wait for long time as we were the first group to arrived. He managed the trip very well and very helpful as he also offered to take picture for everybody. Overall, it is a worth and good trip and recommended 👍🏻

Riku was great. He was attentive and made sure everybody was helped and had great explanations as he did it in English and Chinese. Would definitely recommend.
The itinerary was very full and the tour guide, Wendy, flexibly arranged each activity, allowing us to fully enjoy every attraction. It's amazing that the tour guide speaks Cantonese! Based on our language, she also specifically arranged seating for us and detailed everything we needed to be aware of. We are so grateful to have met such a perfect tour guide who wholeheartedly took care of each of us!
Our tour guide, Xiao Wang, was handsome and friendly. He explained everything along the way, was very responsible, and helped us take beautiful photos at each stop. Thank you so much! He's also very professional—he took great photos! Even though the weather was incredibly hot, the beautiful photos and travel experience made us very happy! Also, thank you to the driver for making sure we were comfortable and able to rest and relax during the trip. We give it a hundred-star rating! 👍
This is the best choice for families traveling together. You don't have to worry about a thing; just follow along! This itinerary is quite relaxed, with minimal walking, making it perfect for tourists who enjoy taking photos and checking out scenic spots. Although the boat ride in Yanagawa wasn't the kind where they jump off bridges as I expected, the boatman provided plenty of entertainment, singing 5, 6, 7, 8 songs, which was very enjoyable.
Our tour leader, Ms. "Yang Meng," was very attentive and considerate. She proactively helped us take photos and introduced each attraction in great detail. The entire itinerary was very well planned, and everyone was happy and cheerful. At the end of the trip, she even gave out small gifts to everyone. In addition, the boatman in Yanagawa deserves praise for leading the entire team safely and happily, creating a highly spirited atmosphere.
Today's itinerary was fantastic! Our guide, Wendy, is fluent in multiple languages and made excellent arrangements for tour members of different nationalities. The itinerary timing was well managed. Raizan Kannon Temple is beautiful, Itoshima is full of photo opportunities, and Ichiran Ramen was delicious - making the trip worthwhile. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide, ADA, was great. She was very helpful when I had problems with my hotel booking. The itinerary was a little rushed. I suggest reducing 1-2 minor attractions to allow for more time.
