What to expect
First Stop: Uji - A City of History and Sweets
The trip begins in Uji, a place steeped in history and culture. It is Japan’s most famous tea-producing region, home to many long-established tea shops. Uji tea comes in various types, including sencha, bancha, genmaicha, hojicha, etc. The enticing aroma of freshly roasted tea wafts from the entrance of each tea shop. We have allocated 150 minutes of free time for you to participate in experience courses near Keihan Uji Station at “Tea House,” such as:
- Stone-ground Matcha Experience
- Uji Tea Tasting Experience
- Matcha Tea Ceremony Experience
Second Stop: The Highlight of This Trip - Cherry Blossom Viewing Next, we will head to the spectacular “Kawazu Cherry Blossoms/Segawari-zutsumi Cherry Blossom Festival,” allowing you to revel in the dreamy world of cherry blossoms! Segawari-zutsumi is located at the confluence of the Uji River and Kizu River, featuring a 1.4 km long cherry blossom path, one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kansai region! During the Cherry Blossom Festival, there are also many food stalls where you can enjoy delicious food while admiring the cherry blossoms. The stunning experience of being surrounded by countless cherry blossoms in full bloom is not to be missed! Please enjoy the fragrance of the cherry blossoms and immerse yourself in this feast for the senses.
Third Stop: Katsuoji Temple & Minoo Waterfall Finally, the trip will take you to Katsuoji Temple and Minoo Waterfall, bringing the tour to a satisfying conclusion.
- Katsuoji Temple Katsuoji Temple is famous for "Victory Daruma" and has been revered since ancient times as a “temple where you can win in all aspects of life,” with a history of over 1300 years. The offering shelves are filled with countless Darumas offered by people who have prayed for success, creating a spectacular sight! In addition, you can purchase “Daruma fortune slips” that can be offered or taken home as souvenirs, which are also very popular. Cute little Darumas can be seen everywhere on the grounds. Every year, all the Darumas are burned in a prayer ritual at the end of the year, with the number being too numerous to count!
- Minoo Waterfall Next, we will head to “Minoo Waterfall,” known for its spectacular scenery. This waterfall has a drop of 33 meters and is a powerful and attractive photo spot! Although the autumn foliage is the most famous, the fresh green maple leaves in spring are equally refreshing and perfect for taking beautiful landscape photos. This tour combines traditional Japanese culture, magnificent natural scenery, and gourmet experiences, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of Kyoto in spring. We look forward to embarking on this unforgettable journey with you!

Reviews
Sean is such an excellent host/guide!! On the bus en route and as we approached stops, he would share history and fun facts about the areas, and would also walk us and point out his recommendations, best spots to take photos, and local favorites. Although the experience was nearly a whole day, time flew by. In fact, I wish we could’ve spent more time at some of our stops. Definitely bring cash for smaller food stands and vendors, and note that the bus does not have chargers or a bathroom - so plan accordingly. Highly recommend, and would love to attend a tour by Sean next time we’re in town!
We decided to try this tour during cherry blossom season, and it was definitely a great choice. Everything was well organized, allowing us to visit several beautiful spots without the hassle of planning transportation ourselves especially helpful since it was our first time visiting these places. The timing and itinerary were just right, giving us enough time to enjoy each location without feeling rushed. Our tour guide was also very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting history and insights along the way. Overall, it was a splendid and smooth experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and enjoyable way to explore during sakura season 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yodogawa Seiwari-zutsumi Cherry Blossom was amazing and beautiful! We absolutely love Katsuō-ji Temple, completing the postcard was really fun! Our tour guide 小谢was late in the morning as he was unwell, but he was 100% professional and did his best to guide us around for the entire day. Thanks to his recommendation, we also visited Ujikami Shrine and Uji Shrine. We also had the best unagi in Uji.
So lucky that we chose for this trip. Lucky to tour around on the cherry full blossom day. Very nice land tour package for a couple like us who want to have a relax and fruitful road trip. Everywhere are so beautiful. Less hassle if compare to travel here and there on your own. Nice and friendly tour guide Mr Joe (Kaisei san) assigned to us. He managed to solve a few of the last minute hiccup caused by those other traveler on the same trip. Thank u Kaisei San and Thank u for the enjoyable trip. 😊
It was the best places in Kyoto that I've ever seen ..We enjoyed Katsou ji temple a lot inspite of the heavy rain. Not so much time to enjoy. The rain made us not see the minoh falls, our tour guide Chen showed a picture of it.The tunnel of cherry blossoms is so beautiful.Took lot puctures of it because that is the main reason why we chose to visit Japan at this time of the year. Our tour guide made it possible to make this tour enjoyable.
This limited edition only Sakura viewing bundle is truly a steal having made to visit 3 famous spots to view the amazing Sakura blooms in their best season and form namely the yodogawa bacwari river site, a short stroll along the minoh waterfalls was also refreshingly and finally having experience the massive daruma dolls temple in kasoogi temple believed to give good luck to the visitors all in one day was truly a fun and memorable experience. Our guide though purely Chinese speaker made his best to always make me( a non Chinese speaker guest) well informed in his best and I even blended well with my all Chinese fellow tourists as well.
This was a magnificent day trip!! Absolutely worth every penny spent. The sakura were blooming and appreciate Joe making sure we got what we paid for. I highly recommend this trip from beginning to end :)
I am very grateful for purchasing this trip, which is worth the money. I am very grateful to Xiao Zhang, Joe, Xiao Zheng, Xiao Chang, and Hua Hua for their careful company and introduction. This is the most attentive trip I have purchased among the 4-5 trips I have purchased. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to buy such a great itinerary in the future. In case there were no cherry blossoms, Joe took us to a nearby place that had blooming cherry blossoms. He even gave us the program brochure and a map. The best thing is that the team will wait for you near the attractions, so you don't have to worry about getting lost or not finding anyone. Sometimes guests can feel whether someone is passionate about their work. In the future, when I buy itineraries, I will pay special attention to choosing itineraries from Japan Holidatoraber Co., Ltd. The stay at Katsuo-ji Temple is relatively short, so if you want to stamp all the postcards, you have to manage your time.
Xie, our tour guide was very helpful and accommodating. He helped us during our tour and pointed the best spots for photos. Highly recommended tour. Places included in the tour were worth visiting.
Thanks to Director Liu on 4/1 for leading us, conducting a preliminary survey to obtain the Uji map, and recommending which places in Uji are worth visiting. In addition to the original itinerary, we were also invited to visit the Kawazu cherry blossoms in full bloom. The only downside to the whole trip was the waterfall. I really felt that there was nothing to see. The process of going up and down the mountain was very tiring and it was not suitable for the elderly. I hope that in the future the waterfall attraction can be cancelled and the time spent at Bewari-dippi and Katsuo-ji Temple can be extended instead. I really think these two attractions deserve more time.
