we had a wonderful experience at kanwa kimono rental store ! there was a good selection of kimono in the basic package and basic hairstyles were very beautiful with a good variety of hair accessories available :) the staff were top notch and went above and beyond to help us with our kimono and other concerns we had. staff is able to speak mandarin and functional english so communication was smooth and easy. will definitely recommand and check them out again :D
You can wear a beautiful kimono even with the basic options, so go early and choose well, haha! All the staff are very kind, and they meticulously styled my hair even with the basic option! They also rented out parasols, fans, bags, and shoes! It would have been terrible without a parasol because of the heat. My feet did hurt after wearing the shoes for a long time, so I returned them after four hours...^^ There's nothing that can be done about the shoes themselves, so if you need them, bring your own sneakers or just wear the shoes you came in instead of renting. Kimonos are a bit hot from mid-May onwards. Please keep that in mind! Anyway, I traveled alone and had a great time taking pictures in a beautiful outfit~*^^* The clothes were pretty and affordable, and the staff were friendly, haha! Highly recommended. They also recommended an obi that perfectly matched the kimono design, which was wonderful ☺️☺️❤️
The service staff was good, but there weren't many budget-friendly options. However, you can upgrade for just 200 baht. If you want colorful options, I recommend paying extra, as the cheaper ones are mostly dark colors. I paid an additional 200 baht. There were plenty of accessories to choose from. I recommend going early in the morning. Overall, it was good and I wasn't disappointed.
The landlady provides excellent service. She's a Northeastern Chinese owner, so she speaks Chinese. Very welcoming. I brought my two kids to take photos in kimonos 👘. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is just a short walk away.
I went to the wrong branch and was a bit late getting there, but they were very kind and accommodating. They gave great recommendations for yukata, so I wore a beautiful one and took many photos. They also styled my hair elaborately, so my back looked great in pictures! They even provided a separate shoe bag for the geta sandals in case my feet hurt. I walked around in my own shoes and then changed into the geta for photos. It's really close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, so I got dressed early in the morning, went up to take pictures, explored Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka, and the pagoda, and returned everything before lunchtime. It took about two hours, I think. There are many cafes and shops nearby, so I had a pleasant and leisurely visit. It was great value for money!
The experience was fantastic! The styles were beautiful, and there was a wide variety of lovely kimonos to choose from. The staff spoke excellent Japanese, Chinese, and English, and they were very patient while helping us select styles, allowing us to take our time trying things on. There were many props available to borrow for photoshohoots, and returning the kimonos the next day didn't incur any extra charges. The shop was air-conditioned and very cool, and the geta (wooden clogs) were also very nice.
Special experience & so worthwhile. It includes fan shoes sock & bag. Can upgrade your choice. Friendly & good service. Thanks so much! Go enjoy this wonderful experience
this shop is near Kiyumizu-dera, but when booking time always give you another address. i just seached for Kimono rental kanwa ( kiyumizu). i think their nornal sise about XL to 2XL, if bigger then have to choose other style. She didnt force me but instead help me to figure out what to do. Both ladies were very nice.
The service was good. The shop offers varieties of designs and color. The shop is clean and cold however it could have been better if they will put much comfortable receiving areas for customers.
It was exceptionally good, and I was able to have such a wonderful experience for this price! The staff member was very friendly and responsible, constantly checking if I was comfortable throughout the process, and offering advice on outfit combinations. Because it was raining that day, I sat in the store waiting for the rain to lighten up after returning the clothing, and the staff member even thoughtfully offered me snacks. It was truly a fantastic experience, highly recommended!!
