Sapporo Asahiyama Zoo & Shirogane Blue Pond Full-Day Guided Tour

​Our day trip through Hokkaido was an absolute dream, made even better by our incredible guide, Jenny. She truly deserves a 10/10 rating—her respectful nature, witty sense of humor, and deep knowledge of the area kept us entertained and informed all day long. ​Asahiyama Zoo: The absolute star of the show was the penguin walk. Seeing them waddle up close was incredibly cute and a memory I’ll cherish! The polar bears, brown bears, and seals were equally adorable and active in the chilly weather. ​Biei’s Natural Beauty: The Christmas Tree stood alone in the snow, looking truly majestic against the white landscape. While the Blue Pond wasn't actually blue, the snowy vista was still serene. ​Shirahige Falls: This was the highlight of the scenery for me. The contrast of the blue water against the icicles was simply breathtaking. ​The itinerary was well-paced, and Jenny’s lively energy made the long drives feel short.

We had an amazing experience with Eric as our tour guide. He was very kind, patient, and always made sure everyone was comfortable. His explanations were clear and helpful. The tour was smooth and well-organized. Thank you, Eric!

Love this day tour especially the zoo and shirahige waterfall. My 1st experience walking in the zoo in winter season with snowing. Such a good experience for me. Bus is on time for pick up and drop off. Thank you Miss Lucy for so much useful information too. Tour is with English and mandarin language, I can understand this 2 language so is no problem for me.

I really recommend booking this day tour if you’re planning to visit these places! It would be so hard to reach it by yourself except you’re driving. We joined the tour on Dec 7, and it all went smoothly and according to the itinerary. Though the penguin parade hasn’t started yet, but Asahiyama Zoo was still a good place to visit. The waterfall & blue pond was beautiful, and we were also able to visit the famous Christmas tree! Shout out to our guide, Kee, who managed to organize the timings perfectly. He is a kind and funny guy, also knowledgeable abd shares us many facts about the Hokkaido area. Thank you, Kee!

Guide Jenny was the best, no issues. My child really wanted to go to the zoo, so I applied for a Chinese/English bus tour, but there were no communication problems at all, and it was very nice that the bus boarding time was posted on a board. We visited all the places of the sold product, and the order was changed according to the situation, but I was very happy that there were no people when I went to the Christmas tree as the last order. I didn't see a lot of snow (Blue Lake was only half frozen. Is it a little less cold this year?), but I was satisfied with all the places. The White Beard Waterfall was really cool. The outside scenery of the last tour location was also very cool. And thank you so much for taking care of the seats ^^

it was indeed a very memorable experience especially for my son. The highlight of the tour is experiencing the beauty of Blue pond (although it changed the color as explained by Ms. Jenny due to weather condition). we also had fun playing on the snow. Ms. Jenny first explained the important facts about Biei and Furano in English then in Mandarin. She speaks fluently on both languages even if she mentioned she was born and raised in Hokkaido. We highly recommend her as a guide and the trip as well. Would also commend the driver of the bus for making sure we are safe in the entire trip.💕

A very memorable trip. We arrived the day after it snowed, a beautiful view with snow along the way. Thank you Ms. Lucy, a very friendly tour guide who explained the places we visited in great detail. Also, thank you to the driver who worked hard throughout the trip.

The penguin walk was really cute. also got to see other animals in the zoo. Went to the Shirahige falls, Ken and Mary Tree and Biei Blue Pond. This was a short stops for photo ops but it's ok for me. Still got to see all these iconic spots in Hokkaido. Our guide, Bryan was the best. Gave some info on our nxt stops and made sure everyone is on the bus before leaving. 5☆ for Bryan.

Overall, the tour was very fulfilling! While I normally DIY our trips, I don’t think going to these places would have been easy on our own especially in the winter time. Our guide, Vivien was an excellent guide & an amazing photographer! While we were a mixed nationality group, she was able to switch languages very fluidly which didn’t make us feel left out being a minority. She would point out the best locations to take photographs in all the places we visited. She would explain briefly some historical facts about the places.
