Great coffee workshop experience! We got to learn how to make Vietnamese egg coffee, coconut coffee and salty coffee from a friendly instructor. Tasting different local coffee styles was such a memorable highlight during our trip in Hanoi. The venue is cozy. Highly recommend to all coffee lovers visiting the city!
Hands down one of the best experiences we had in Hanoi. Coordination was seamless from booking to arrival — the team was incredibly proactive, making sure we got to the workshop smoothly with clear instructions every step of the way. Our host / teacher, Lin, was professional, warm, friendly, and spoke excellent English, which made everything easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and even with other participants, the experience still felt intimate and personal thanks to the small group size. What we appreciated most was how hands-on and personalized it felt — and the recipes were genuinely delicious!!! More than learning how to make coffee, it gave us a deeper appreciation for the craft, the process, and the culture behind it. Super fun!
giang was an excellent instructor and her English was fantastic! we had 6 coffees in total and snacks were provided. we got to help make them and I learned so much about the history and the process. 10/10 recommend. also the transfer communication was so easy to arrange pick up!
Only my second day in Vietnam and already a major highlight for this trip. Giang is so kind and funny and was all good vibes and amazing coffee. Out of 6, coconut coffee was my fav. I highly recommend her for any trip to Vietnam.
Giang made us fall in love with Vietnamese coffee all over again We didn't know what to expect walking into Giang's coffee workshop in Hanoi, but we left with six new favourites and a couple of drinks we're still thinking about days later. Giang walked us through salted coffee, pour over, brown coffee, phin coffee, coconut coffee, and a coffee cocktail — not as a checklist, but as proper stories. She explained why each one exists, what makes Vietnamese coffee different, and let us taste everything as she went. The phin drip alone was worth the whole session. The surprises came at the end. She brought out mulberry wine and peanut worm wine. Yes, peanut worm wine. We were hesitant. We tried it anyway. It's genuinely interesting — earthy, a little funky, nothing like what you'd imagine. Giang had this calm, amused energy about her while watching us figure out how we felt about it. No pressure, just curiosity. What made the whole thing work was her.
An incredible session with Lin! We loved getting hands-on and learning how to make different types of Vietnamese coffe and each one was delicious. What made it special, though, was that Lin didn't just teach us the 'how' but also the 'why' behind the coffee culture here in Vietnam. It gave us a much deeper appreciation for every cup we’ve had since. A must-do!
This workshop was one of the highlights of our trip in Vietnam! I did not expect I would enjoy such activity. 🥰 Kudos to our instructor, Linh, who really is enthusiastic to share her knowledge and expertise with coffee making. If you happen to travel in Hanoi soon, do not forget to include this activity and let’s help Linh spread out her mission in sharing the ‘best of the best’ of the coffee world. ☕️
One of the highlights during my trip in Hanoi!! location: if you arranged a pick up and drop off they will just definitely arrange it for you with no hassel location: it’s a good location and the ambience is really nice experience: one of a kind experience if you are a coffee lover and wanted to learn about how egg, salted or coconut coffee started you should book this activity. You will learn how to do it also you will learn about its history equipment: well equipped and very neat instructor: VALERIE from the local beans rostery is one of a kind she’s very jolly and friendly, very clear and she will definitely make you feel at home. very approachable and that makes the session great. Thank you, Val! 🫶🏻
