The driver picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the next hotel. We contacted the manager via Line, as requested in the procedure, and they sent us a photo of the vehicle and its license plate. We were able to communicate in English on Line. The exchange counter at the Hong Kong Airport arrival hall was clearly marked and easier to find than expected. After receiving the paper voucher, I went to the JR counter at Kansai Airport to exchange it for the pass. The process was very smooth, and I also took the opportunity to reserve seats for the Kuroshio Limited Express at the counter. (Since the pass was activated the day after the exchange, if you want to reserve a specific seat before activation, you can only do so manually. Self-service ticket machines cannot process unactivated passes.) This pass offers excellent value for money, covering a wide area including Osaka, Wakayama, Shirahama, Shingu, and even as far as Nagoya. It's also valid for buses in the Kumano region. My only regret is that 5 days aren't enough to explore everything.
