They were efficient when dressing me. I looked and felt so beautiful. I had a few people tell me I was beautiful as I walked around. One woman asked if she could take a picture with me, when I replied yes, she was surprised and said, "Oh you're American!" I am 1/2 Okinawan!

This has to be my favourite experience in Japan so far (other than getting engaged lol). Chihiro was amazing! I am a history teacher and this shrine maiden experience was awesome to better understand Shinto customs. When I come back to Japan, I will be redoing this for sure !! My fiancé wasn’t sure if he could stay to watch and there was no problem for him to watch and take pictures!

I truly enjoyed the experience. I went alone as I was traveling with family and am the only girl. I recommend buying the full collection of photos as I think the best ones are usually not the ones offered. There was a bit of a language barrier; I was placed in a room and they stated a 10-minute wait to get photos edited, and I waited patiently. However, there was a misunderstanding as they left me in a room to take as many photos or videos using props or areas as I wanted – "free time," not just wait time. So, my bad, I feel I kind of missed out due to the miscommunication, but it's not their fault.
